The MUTOs in this movie isnt boring to be honest. They live its purpose which is to procreate and probably send civilisation back to the 'stone age'. My only problem is Godzilla didnt really up the ante to be very terrifying and it didnt serve its destruction and Alpha purpose. Ask anyone here what's so alpha about him? Probably his fat ass which actually i like his sheer size though.

One element the jap did it correct back then is that Godzilla has its unpredictable force of nature. Like a badass. He be like: Y'all swimming in my god damn ocean? Surprise madafakaa, run beech! Y'all build this power plants over here? Yeah, eat my breath! Fark all this power you humans build for yoself. I'm tsunami, im earth quake. EAT LEAD you japs! Then of course some mofo-monsters thought Godzilla isnt being nice to destroy the cities' foundation and decided for a duel. As you can see, Godzilla's element is meant to be unpredicatble, alpha, terrifying (which the 98's one pretty much have) and Angry. This godzila is like....That MUTO over there pissing you guys off? Aite, i got this! Be right back human! Y'all can count on me!

I dont expect this movie to be on par with the jap version. My expectation is that it has to be much better than the japanese version and for once make the kids today terrified with it. to my disappointment is that with all the latest technology from legendary pictures, great actors we have compare to back then, the whole film crew didnt make this film live up to its real potential. What we see in the movie is more towards a mild godzilla facing freak of nature MUTO which possess much more fear compare to Godzilla.

The director pretty much Americanize Godzilla. More like a brother in arm. Godzilla got shot and his action was like 'SSUP GUYS, ALLY HERE!' HEY IT HURTS DAMN IT!'

Who needs Nuclear when you have Godzilla type of feeling when i watched this film. You guys want a sequel? Any more mutos to be killed, eff yeah....holla at godzilla's speed dial.

To sum it all, Godzilla's seems more of a cameo here.

Overall it's not too bad actually.... some may like it. Some may loathe it. 

And false marketing or not - the studios are still making money. We can complain all we want
