 [WTA] HTS for PS3, need advice on HTS for PS3

Hi all sifus~

what kind of home theater system i need for PS3, prefer whole set in same brand eg.Sony, Pioneer etc ?

i wish i can use PS3 as blu-ray player so i dont have to buy a whole set of blu-ray HTS come with blu-ray player.

so what kind of setup i need for PS3 ?

is that i cant use DVD HTS for PS3 since the sound decoder got different with blu-ray ?

sorry for noob question, pls advice.

What is your exisiting DVD HTS make? Does your DVD act as AMP too?
Pioneer has built some DVD models cum AMP, so that you can hook up Optical or component cable for video & sound.

nope, i dont have any system yet .
just got myself a 46" LCD for my ps3.
now want for more, so wonder wat i should get blink.gif

that is exactly correct..
a decent sony HTIB should cost you 1.5-2k

check the inputs for sound? HDMI or Optical?

since you not stated any budget limits, I would suggest you to buy separates HT systems....e.g:
- an A/V Receiver (the one that supports HD audio)
- 5 or 7 speakers and surrounds set
- a Subwoofer
