Thanks. lets put it this way, the Iphone never lags because it is doing one task at a time, i.e. no multi-tasking. while Android can multitask, it also gives satisfactory smoothness. Hanging, as in not responding is very rare, but slight lag, for example, while scrolling down long texts or phone book happens once in a while.

Nope, I havent experience any hanging issues or slowdowns. If you're worried your phone memory getting low due to running multiple apps (something the iPhone cant do haha), you can always install a 3rd party task killer app.

to be really frank, iphone's app does hang at certain occasion, but the OS will terminate that not responding app/game and return to home, hence it looks as if it doesnt hang.
rarely my G1 hanged, only slow and lags due to software requirements.

The phone doesn't but the apps do.

Luckily not until the stage that need to reboot the phone... it is also very much depends on user but for those with 1gb processor like desire and hd2, lagging is no more. but hanging can due to many other issues other than then phone and os itself.

My rooted tattoo with MoDaCo ROM rarely sudden hang.. Mostly because of Apps.. The most important thing is.. multitasking availability which iPhone can't do it for now..
