Max, u r right! i did updated and nth change

i wanna upgrade the firmware coz facing got video but no audio. after updated it is still the same.
funny is, same movie i play on TV it was normal but when i play on bluray player it only have video and no audio.

anyway, still satisfied with the TV

1. Extract the embedded subtitle, normally for anime mkv, the format will be in .ass
You need to install MKVToolNix first follow by MKVExtractGUI.




2. Convert the subtitle.ass file to Subrip format (*.srt) by using Urusoft's Subtitle Workshop.

just bought LA40D550 at kepong for 1599
and just noticed the audio output only hav headhone jack and optical output

wondering if i put my 2.1 speakers on headphone jack, will the sound be loud enough

Crap... some videos like Batman duology can't even finish playback... and file format still lack some punch...

If it is a mp4 it is a known problem, there is a quick fix using mkvtoolnix.

yep. sound mode cannot changed..
that is 1 of disadvantage of this LCD. no line out..

using headphone out to speakers the sound not punch/oouummpp enough..

i think there must be line out inside the PCB somewhere..
waiting for samsung to come for warranty.. (i think must changed panel again..).. then i might sneak to see the pcb.. hehe

MP4 not fully supported i think.. i always avoid dload mp4 format.

i want to ask.. which want is the better..

samsung la40c530 or la40d5550.. what is the different between this model??

i think D series better.
newer.. more codec supported i think.

Yes, limited audio out for C550, 1 digital audio out (via optical) & 1 analog.

Normal for any LCD panels, don't move the panel to frequent, a slight twist of the panel can cause permanent damage in the panel.

Do you turn or swivel around alot?

actually this only for gaming and watching movie.once a month clean screen with soft tissue. possible can damage the screen ?

i also got 40c530.so far so good.prime working for watching astro and movie.2 year already.maybe me not lucky with 40d550
first time broken..samsung just replace the panel and recycle frame..

when you do the cleaning don't apply too much down pressure on the screen, the Plexi glass screen is very very thin , LCD liquid can leaked internally, for most cases these happens normally when you carry and move the TV, don't do it alone, at least 2 person or so to carry
