make sure the movie got DTS audio format. check audio menu, find digital out option , make sure set to DTS.

thx bro , but if use the headphone jack ...then canot change the s.mode , is it ?
*
yep. sound mode cannot changed..
that is 1 of disadvantage of this LCD. no line out..

using headphone out to speakers the sound not punch/oouummpp enough..

i think there must be line out inside the PCB somewhere..
waiting for samsung to come for warranty.. (i think must changed panel again..).. then i might sneak to see the pcb.. hehe tongue.gif

MP4 not fully supported i think.. i always avoid dload mp4 format.

ok now.. i also accidentally messed up my lcd calibration..

under service menu > adc > adc target > AV/COMP/HDMI calibration (somewhere in the ADC menu..)
in calibration pressing left doesn't go back to menu but, running the calibration.. doh.gif
so, i 'accidentally' calibrate the HDMI source..

the LCD still workable, but i think some values have been changed..

i need somebody to capture/note down the values in the ADC service menu..

if anybody care enough to post up the default values.. notworthy.gif

other method to recalibrate is to use 8x8 checkered black white board display thru HDMI in.. but currently i do not have any HDMI capable media to attach to my LCD.. sad.gif

manzaro, u can copy mine.. but i think its a bit way off from factory default.. but still good enough to watch..

Added on December 26, 2011, 4:44 amsome searching.. found this..

this is for UN40B6000VM LCD (i think samsung LED 40 inchers)
http://www.turuta.md/SMODE/UN40B6000VM.pdf
page 4-5.

not sure if the values is same with ours (LA40D550/551)
might worth to try or someone can look up their untouched values to compare..

thanx for the values.. i will try later at my LCD.

so using laptop with hdmi to ur LCD to calibrate?

anyway, does HDMI calibration also effect other input as well?
as i watch using terrestrial (RF antenna) analog channels, the pic quality also seems affected.

I just bought a new Samsung LA40D550. When I about to turn on the TV, the screen turns pink (not the whole pink, just some pink strips.....However, it will auto disappear once I turned into AV1 (Astro)...The TV works fine so far except this...Is this normal?
