maybe training ur wrist? just like playing drum...
hahaha... well, u can always google... dumbell exercises. =.=
if u lazy, i list a few for u.
tricep, chest, back, legs, shoulder, calf, oblique, abs, biceps...
u can train every part of ur body with a dumbell. =.=
hahahaha...

Ask yourself instead, why you want to use a dumbell to exercise.

If you don't even know what you want to do with dumbells and why you want to use dumbells, dun use them.

google "isolation exercises"
you must make sure you really isolate the muscle you're exercising. no swinging, no bad form then you can do wonders with dumbbells ^^
