Hi guys, I called Astro yesterday to apply for Byond. They tell me that it will take 10 days for installation. Is this believable? I am in Johor. Prior to this, I applied through one of the "dealers" in my town but nothing materialized after 5 weeks.rclxub.gif I really hope to get it installed before the World Cup. Thanks!!

10 days is just the standard time frame for Astro to install Byond..
Nothing wrong there
It will probably be installed in 3-5 days..

You're spot on. I called Astro yesterday and they told me 10 days but today the installer called me and said that they will be installing it tomorrow! rclxms.gif I think the 10 days is to protect themselves in case there are delays. Anyway, calling them is what I should have done 5 weeks ago. Thanks guys for hearing me out. biggrin.gif

My Byond was installed on 5May but because of some pairing problem between the smart card and decoder, it was only activated yesterday. sad.gif so my poor wife and son had to miss American Idol.

The signal strength is only in the 50+ % region but when I called Astro, they say that this is ok for Byond. hmm.gif Any comments anyone?

Now awaiting my Toshiba 55ZV600E, which should arrive next week, to complete the setup !! rclxm9.gif

Can Byond output video to both composite video and HDMI at the same time? I would like to connect the composite video and analog audio to my DVR and the HDMI to the AVR. By doing this, I dont have to turn on my AVR for timer recordings. Thanks.
