All the info that you need is on 1st page. Yes, you can use your existing byond to get the recording service but you need to buy an external USB HDD. Then you just need to call Astro and ask them to enable the recording service and they will charge you Rm5 monthly. The RM10 monthly charges if you opt for new Byond PVR decoder which comes with 500GB internal HDD.

RM10 - if you change to the new PVR box

RM5  - If u use current Byond box. You need to buy external HDD. Only WD MyPassport AV are supported by Byond. (320GB maximum).
If u have buy the new HDD, just called Astro to activate the recording function on your current byond box. Make sure you already have that HDD and connect beihnd your decoder.

That is what the Astro guy in the Roadshow told me. I have not tested it yet and just wait until some one who subscribed to PVR to comment.  wink.gif

Features:

Watch One Channel and Record Another Channel
With the dual-tuner feature in the Astro B.yond PVR, you can:
a) record up to two channels at one time, or
b) watch one live channel while recording another at the same time, or
c) watch one recorded program while recording another two at the same time
*
i got it,
we cannot record 2 program at the same time by current b.yond decoder,
but can watch and record another channel,
should consider to get a supported external HDD. wink.gif

I'd agree if they allow us to play only on the specific PVR box where the materials are recorded, but I don't agree if we cannot watch the materials if the channels are no long subscribed. This is riff-off!

RM299 are for 320GB HDD,
this is their maximum support and i saw from WD website,
this is the only model they launched.

i couldnt get any information on how many hours we can save in 320GB HDD? and can we connect the HDD to our computer or other media device to watch it? since we cant watch the program in the future if we unsubscribe the related package..
