Daaaaaaaaaamn I just spent like 15 minutes typing in the online registration form for Byond today. If I know MV got roadshow I wud haf just gone there. Deal with real ppl better. Now I don't even know when Astro gonna reply me.

Any1 here requested for Byond tru the Astro site? How long b4 they come install?

Blardy hell. Registered online for Byond last Thursday. Until now no1 from Astro even call to say anything. Typical Msian company.

Astro is a good example of why Msia cannot make it by 2020. I registered online for Byond 2 weeks ago. No1 emailed or called me back. They even send me stupid brochure encouraging us to upgrade to Byond. LOL. So I damn bengang n called them today.

She told me to wait 10 working days! I was like WTF! I registered 2 weeks ago n u tell me to wait 10 working days more? So it takes 1 month to do a simple thing like that? I told her she better do it for me within the next 3 days so that I can watch F1 this weekend. Let's see if Astro will mebe call me back next year n tell me to wait 10 more working days. LOL

The shitty thing is, the girl checked her computer n she says the system did log my request for Byond 2 weeks ago. Yet she still ask me to wait another 10 workng days. 1 of the biggest companies in Msia n this is how they do biz. If it was a free market, they will bankrap overnight.

Finally got my Byond after waiting for 3 weeks!

But boy oh boy is it nice. I almost gave up hope of watching Monaco GP in HD oredi. Luckily it came today.

I know it's upscaled, still much better than SD lor. Coz my big tv makes it almost unbearable to watch it in SD, very blur. Sumore nonid to watch it in wrong format with fat cars. Hehe

I noticed my Byond box is damn hot. I put it to standby n it's still damn hot. Is it supposed to be like that?

It's ridiculously hot. It's been on standby for half a day yet it's like burning hot. Just imagine how many watts electricity it's burning even in standby to produce that kinda heat.

Really kacau la, now hafta switch off the mains at night.

Hehe, I didnt mean kacau us in terms of discomfort. I meant kacau coz now hafta switch it off completely at night. The amount of heat it produces even in standby mode shows that it's chewing up a whole lot of electricity while doing nothing. I'm the kinda person who believes in saving electricity 1. Dont like to waste.

I don't care if it's upscaled. Better still if Astro upscale everything. Whatever it is, it's still much better than SD especially for ppl with big huge TVs.

Dunno why ppl complain about F1 being Upscaled. I watched F1 on Astro Byond for the 1st time last week n it was simply brilliant. Just F1 alone is worth my rm20 every month. That's actually the main reason I wanted Byond.
