@ RM1K, that's a big steal, never seen so low 2nd hand N900 before, even RM1.5K is rare. Hope you unit is in good condition, if yes, then you're very lucky and should be grateful/thankful about it.

Perhaps because you're not familiar with smartphones pricing and Nokia's high end model pricing; Even the official set @ RM2280 is considered cheap, considering Nokia's high end device official set is usually > RM2.5K. The N900 is currently most powerful Nokia's N series phone and yet, it's only priced RM2280 for official set. This is probably to compete with the market and other competitor which also priced around the same price range.

Even before N900 AP set available, those that import the phone personally are selling it for around RM3.3K and there is people who buy it, and the warranty? None, you can register online but the warranty will be in US.
So, if there're people willing to pay RM3.3K for a no warranty device, you can imagine official set selling for RM2280 is a good price or not.
I think it's better you research more on ZaggShield... it's not like other screen protector. You need to know how to apply, the process is different; and the result and effect it different from normal screen protector. There's rubbery feel to it.
The good thing is the protection is good, but the feel and look is not a desireable factor for some people.

For me, I prefer Crystal Clear and smooth touch.
Even for normal screen protector, there're already 4 different types. Go find out from the screen protector seller. And these are much much more cheaper than Zaggs and it's easy to apply.

From the photo it looks like the cover have magnet because the earpiece of the phone also have a magnet so magnet against magnet guess wat extra bonuses u will get

The next firmware wont solve 100% of the problem but a handful excluding those not listed

It's finally here, and the stuff scares me as I'm IT - blind in terms of programming. But i love the fact that the Web browser is that good, just like our own PC / lappies. I've viewed lots of the Youtube vids, and spent the whole day yesterday reading this thread. Superb piece of technology this N900 is!

Since the preorder is done oledi, potential owners can still order it at certain Nokia shops right? What's the average delivery / pickup date time line?

N900 is practically a tiny netbook with basic mobile phone functions, whereas the rest of the mobile phone function is coming soon [ as the N900 is very new here ]?

There is a VGA camera in front of the N900, so I presume video calls can be done immediately, or do we need for the next firmware update?

How's the learning curve for programming - blind peeps like me?

Personally, the price, to me, is quite cheap for the performance of the N900, although I can't afford it now.

Hhhmmmm, I can foresee this oledi..... travelling around Malaysia, Thailand and SG, on a bike, and not needing to lug my lappie in the backpack, just the N900! More space in the pack for my undies lol!

Another thing beautiful of N900 is MSN, GOOGLE TALK, QQ, YAHOO YM etc etc all can be integrated into the conversation type without 3rd party software only requires plugin

Nope fring i install just for testing.

For the one u mention menu > conversation its access after u install the plugin.
I am using the one in conversation. Fring is another 3rd party applicaton

People keep on saying that resistive touch screen is not that responsive.
After 1 hour of using N900 I think resistive screen is working just fine.So far after using this for 1 hour I didn't have any difficulties with the touchscreen.

Just install the following Pidgin plugin, and you're good to go.
