for improving their speed, TM need to upgrade their core switch to Cisco CRS-3 Carrier Routing System ASAP. this is the shit, 322 terabit per seconds. this switch can transfer every single movie hollywood have ever made in under four minutes. QUOTE(brian12988 @ Apr 5 2010, 11:12 PM) USD90k if i remember correctly...and thats just the starting price.. they would need a few though.. core switch are always expensive, but this new model have more than 10 fold increase in speed compare with the old one. it will not solve the international link issue, but at least local network will be blazingly fast.

QUOTE(Hanzo @ Apr 6 2010, 10:04 AM) in the end, the ppl who condemned UNIFI will subscribe to the service. such hypocrites. when it is a monopoly, the people that condemned but still buy are not hypocrites.

QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Apr 6 2010, 01:56 PM) It's 60 gigabytes lar, GB is universal for gigabyte. Don't tell me you buy a 500GB hard drive from lowyat and when you format it its 60 gigabytes.. then the shop keeper tells you its actually a 500 gigabit hard drive? I'd stab that guy in the f**king face more accurate is GB stand for gigabyte, Gb stand for gigabit. see the tmnet site for the speed is 5Mbps and cap is 60GB.

QUOTE(rajulkabir @ Apr 6 2010, 03:50 PM) You are making a big assumption about where TM's engineering problems are. Who knows whether the problems are concentrated in such a way that dropping in one router could solve everything? Far more likely that the problems are endemic network-wide. this is the easiest problem to solve, if it is last mile connection issue then it is much harder to change all those wire link.
