I agree with you, i want to apply as a contractor to install, i got my own team, i can do 1 installation a day.
Can apply ah ? Im non Bumi.

Currently, they are still handling it on their own, to sort out teething issues. After process stabilize, then they will proceed to outsource it - similar to how streamyx started.

If you wanna be an installer, i suggest you head to TM and register as supplier. The registration process can be quite tedious. Once registered, then you can ask to be installer.

Probably not available. That area is probably under Kelana Jaya exchange. Best to check with TM Point.

Got my unifi. Installation was not as smooth as I expected.

The problem was the port was the port was not activated by Network Operation Center. It's just a process problem that TM is sorting out (hence that's why they are having a limited implementation). Should be much much smoother..

VDSL2 is very much different from FTTH implementation. For VDSL2, the ports will need to be activated prior to installation, whilst for FTTH - the port is already activated. As mine, is one the first few VDSL2 implementation, they are kinda a bit rough with regards to the process. But still, the installers are very determined to get my Unifi sorted out. Kudos to them.

The installation for VDSL2 - is very much like Streamyx, plug in the VDSL2 modem, configure username and password... connect the IPTV and STB.. then you are done. If not of the port problem, my Unifi would have been up in less than 30 mins.. keh keh keh..

Anyway - speed is great... Just test downloaded a 350MB file from usenet.. it took roughly 3mins... wink.gif

What could it be then?

Actually looking closer, it could be Fiber cabinet. I saw the same logo in the SDF from in my apartment, where all the fibers converge to the IP DSLAM and VDSL box.

The box inside the SDF room are server racks containing the Equipments for VDSL. Just had a peek when the engineer connecting my copper to the dslam.

rizvanrp, how do u know all these stuff? ure my new best friends hehe. smile.gif
im on VIP10 package but my connection is not quite stable. when i did speedtest, on diff times of the day sometimes get 7mb/s dl, sometimes 9 and sometimes 8.

just a few question for u rizvanrp, is the username and password for ur unifi email is the same with the one to log in unifi network on the dlink router? i understand they dont allow to change the pass yet as in for now.

and about the stb, i have full hd lcd can support up to 1080, but i cant change the setting>profile on the stb to 16:9 aspect ratio, it seemed to be locked to 4:3 ratio, do u have the same issue?

thanks.
*
You on FTTH? Mine on VDSL i only get 16-18MBps only... (VIP20). Upload is quite bad.. Only 13-15mbps.. but no complaints lah. Still get consistent 2MBps downloads..

STB - mine is stuck at 16:9 - had to use expanded mode to get 16:9 - then again, its not as good as "native" 16:9. I believe it'll be in the future firmware update.

Any decrese of speed over F/O?

Edit:
What if I want to keep my old phone line? blush.gif

Yes.. that's some form of copper issues. I am not getting full speed.. just 18mbps... sigh..
