I agree that those seriously harsh downloaders should be capped, but not everyone. I mean it really makes you think twice before you load a video or download a file.

TMnet suspended the cap. However, they still reserve the rights to cap in the future.

As long as they don't throttle adult sites, I'm good.

The thing I like about caps is that TMnet won't be overselling. It is impossible to provide everyone with unlimited bandwidth, especially with such high speeds.

Currently streamyx is overselling with unlimited bandwidth, which is why they resort to throttling.

Well, to me it seems risky. You'll be tied in for a 12 month contract (or is it 24 month?), so if they decide they don't want to use it anymore. You'll have to bear the cost of RM249 yourself every month.

because that defines demand. ISPs are firms too, like any firm their goal is to make profit. they have to adjust price to a level where the consumers demand will generate the most revenue.

the RG is a wireless N router. why would you rather have a G router than a N router?

prices are very much fine. the caps, when introduced, need to be doubled. then i will be a very happy man.

Alot of you complain and complain. But when it comes down to it you are definitely going to stick with it because whether you like it or not TM Net is the best ISP in Malaysia at the moment.

If you don't upgrade to unifi, you're still going to be using streamyx. either way your money still goes into tmnets pocket.

Well, I wonder what you could be downloading 24/7 all day through P2P.

Linux distros? Nice.

You know what makes me laugh? All the people who are complaining about caps and TMnet ripping them off are the same people who download copyright content all day long ripping the producers of such content off.

Complete hypocrites.

My condo still doesn't have it, sad. 2 low rise blocks in my condo already have coverage but I live in the high rise which will need more time.

I'll be connected through VDSL using my building's existing lines correct? Would this require such long installation times?

You're lucky TM isn't like some other ISPs in the US which send you copyright infringement letters when downloading copyright content, then you guys would really be QQ-ing.

Anyway, just call a call from Unifi, my installation date is on the 21st of April. Can't wait.

I believe tons of people are signing up for Unifi in the available areas. The sales rep told me that the technicians are fully booked until April 21st.

I guess all your boycotting failed.

I guess it's for safety, reasonable. Though, I see plenty of TM workers climbing up those high poles with very little safety gear.

I live in an apartment, so there shouldn't be as much drilling.
