Continue to think what you want to think la, TM was awarded the contract due to their ties, quite simply speaking there was no tender and bidding for the project. Otherwise you would have heard about it on the media. You know how many projects go through like this in Malaysia? PLENTY. There are people who make a living out of just being the middle man and helping companies who are tendering to find contractors.

and incase you didn't know maxis has wired broadband, and time also has wired fibre lines. Also, TIME was one of the first few in Malaysia to begin with wired broadband for residential areas. You really, truly believe they don't have the expertise? You really truly think TM has better expertise and experience? You really think TM won the project based on merits? How naive can you be really.

Oh ya, TM used their own people? Then why defend themselves about hiring foreign expertise? Source. So, you still want to think TM is using their own people for the HSBB project?

You want to see what would happen if there was open bidding and a proper plan and infrastructure to give proper competition and no preference for monopoly? Take a look at how singapore planned their FTTH.

http://www.lightreading.com/document.asp?doc_id=149476

Now look at the short listed tender companies and tell me what do you see. Now THAT is a true example of meritocracy. In BolehLand, other companies weren't even given the chance to step in for the tender.
*
Talking bout FTTH, if it was an open tendered, NTT Arc would almost sure win, well if they are bidding it.

i already have mine. and i dont understand why people bothered to hold off from subscribing when the price is only 1RM40 more expensive than 1mbps

this is a superb service biggrin.gif all of you are missing out tongue.gif
*
I believed no one is holding up my friend, its just Unifi is not served on their areas, that's all.

I ran out of idea what to download, I think my internet usage is less then 60gb per month. Well who knows I might become a heavy downloader after this since the downloading time cut by 1/5 after this notworthy.gif

I think TM should release a package which does not includes the IPTV. I have Astro in my home but I don't watch it too often. So no point to pay the 'rental' for the extra IPTV set-top box and extra hypp.tv channels. It is a waste to subscribe to something I don't watch.

By excluding the IPTV, they can either reduce the price or increase the cap. This will definitely make more people happy.
*
They want to increase the IPTV based subscribers so they can tender for more channel in the future, that's y they are sticking to the 'ala carte' plan for now. With enough subscriber in the future, who knows they might give us such an option. If you really couldn't care less about IPTV, you can always opt for BIZ5 package, I know MX510 is subscribing to it without company(ask him).

emm latency does not equal to bandwith, even if i have 100mb up/down if the latency is 100ms its still suck for online gaming, fps especially.

of course im talking local, coz international is not in tm control rite? tongue.gif.

u can ask them, if they are willingly to help, but they dont really care, they set to interleaved, sometimes high interleaved mode, which cause even higher 1st hop ping, so they dont need to fix modem blinking issue. sometimes the interleaved setting is default, they leave it as it be.

what is yr 1st hop ping? and tracert result?
*
First hope using visualroute = 22ms, cant use tracert coz its being blocked.
