QUOTE(SiriuslyCold @ Mar 26 2010, 08:00 AM) TheFactor? QUOTE I wanna add, is it necessary to use 2 twin subs or mix also can? It is never easy to calibrate 2 subs in a room to make it blend nicely especially when you have 2 different brands / designs (Sealed and ported). It is always recommended to use the same make and model when you are doing multiple subs setup. I shall not bore you all here. I am actually glad to know that more and more people are learning about subwoofer rather than plonking it in and set the gain high up to produce 'whoompa whooommpa' floor shaking bass while overwhelming other details from speakers.

Hi,
Maybe rearing-in a 2 sub system takes close to an engineerin degree to understand but watever it is, u cant deny havin more output wif 2 or more subs n my take is tat u dont hv to wring everytin out of one sub if u hv 2[or more].. in d long run, u ll hv both subs workin for a lot longer.. D |

Instead of using 2 subwoofer, use one that is powerful enuf. If u split in to 2, u wont enjoy the real bass coming from ur amp. There is might be some distortion.

QUOTE(dirtrun @ Mar 26 2010, 10:24 AM) and obviously someone is not reading the link that I posted above By using 2 subs of the same make and model esp if you put it in both corner of your front, it will yields better result with better bass response across a wider listening area. Not to mention that you will gain 6dB out of it (usually), you can trim it down on the gain to get 75-78dB, which will be lesser burden to both subs. And here goes the link on "Are 2 subs better than 1?" : http://www.audioholics.com/tweaks/get-good-bass/two-subs |

Very agree. Some type of peoples always like to KEBOOM and shaking neighbours house and the same time overwhelming other details like you say For me subwoofer main tasks is to produce LFE that it must produce.Ngam..ngam..Not to much KEBOOM and not to lack KEBOOM. Qustion: I will increase 3db sub level after I have done auto calibration. From what I have read before, auto calibration cannot do accurate sub level compare to others speaker due to LFE. So if soon I want to calibrate using SPL meter, just set to c-weighted slow response and adjust volume level gain at sub until it reach 75db..correct me This post has been edited by VSX-AX2as: Mar 26 2010, 03:08 PM |
