Not religious per se but I do have a general faith in god etc which I hold on to very tightly so maybe religious in a way internally. Why do you ask?

but my question was, are you going to work in something related to your current field, or are you going to do something like...more universal one, customer service, executive manager, etc?
*
That depends on what im offered with. To be honest im okay with anything tht pays me well (note-legal jobs only) Infact i think im good in PR/writing or anything tht requires IQ and general knowledge. I have to admit i think differently from people sweat.gif which is troublesome at times biggrin.gif

QUOTE(JeromeDubois @ Mar 28 2010, 02:35 AM)
Oh then maybe I should ask "who introduced the idea" to you first? Or was it all you and if it was, what were you thinking?
*
Well it wasnt my idea but someone told me i would excel in it, it requires thinking and bla bla bla. I just followed blindly. I was only 16++ then, too naive.
But at the end it was all theoretical and memorizing which im totally bad at cry.gif
I had dreams of studying in some ivy league in uk/us , pursuing english language/english lit/journalism/political science. I visioned myself working with UN/CNN/BBC/Nat geo doh.gif doh.gif I thought of going into social service stuffs and helping people in rural parts of the world, defending human rights and bla bla bla. My parents thought it was totally crazy and they knew im bold when i write. They were more afraid of me making enemies and ending up in ISA My mom says i write by my emotions instead of logic. Indian family's typial thinking- medicine but then i refused coz i din want my parents to end up being penniless smile.gif So i just listened to the only viable suggestion i got

Ok I understand it now. That's a tough break and sadly it happens to most kids. It happens due to lack of proper guidance and yet why is it happening so much? Why are parents not guiding their kids more carefully? I would like to think that I can help my kid my decisions that will ultimately serve the purpose of happiness above everything else.

But i would say my parents never forced me into anything though. Today that they realise i am good at what i like, they have like sort of understood me. I guess they were just afraid their only daughter would get herself into trouble biggrin.gif During schooling years itself i started writing on political stuffs and they got scared of it i guess, hahaha

But few days back, my mom totally told me sumthng tht i like- she told me to work in any field i like and not to listen to anyone or not to bother about any negative comments i might get for choosing to work out of my field

Most of the time thats what they really want. Trust me 30/40 years down the road, they might think back of what would have gave them the most pleasure

It's good that they've learned to understand you better now. Atleast something good came out of all that. An important part of parenthood is not to project our fears and insecurities onto our children and yet at the same time be aware and fearful enough to ensure their safety. It's a very tightrope to walk on I know and easier said than done for certain.

If that is what they thought they wanted then I will support it and if they make a mistake, I will help them overcome it with moral support and encouragement.

Im pretty much religious but religious in my own way. I believe in God totally but i do not follow things blindly. I often question things that im asked to follow and only practise what i think makes sense to me. As i said i think too much and thus question a lot too. And often, people dont like that nature. biggrin.gif

frankly speaking I enjoyed my course until final year get tired of it biggrin.gif

And when I share about doing something new,
Frankly I don't like people who questioned "Why you take this course in the first place?" "Why you continue it?" etc etc. Whatever the reason is, it's not like they can understand it, from the way they ask.

I do question a lot. I do a lot of research of my own religion, I'm not born in the religious family and everytime I have a question, I'll keep searching for an answer. And I don't consider myself following religion blindly as I keep on doing and doing research for proof and even historical proof.

Yeah well people these days are mostly that way especially the kids I know from rich families in PJ, Bangsar, Hartamas or any other high incoming places like that. They're just spoiled.
