Hi,
I'm about to get a unit for Vostro 3700 laptop, but I have some question about it...
When ordering, was it better to call the sale agent, so that maybe you'll get to 'bargain'? well... i just want to have that back-lit keyboard without i7... which i don't think it'll be possible...
I'm getting this laptop with 4GB of RAM, but I've done a little search online and it seems that even Win 7 Pro only support up to 3GB of RAM...
My question is, was it worth to get a 64-bit Win 7 Pro instead of 32-bit? If i were to get it in 32-bit Win 7 Pro with (2x2GB RAM), will the system actually still run in dual channel mode?
[Edited] - If I were to call the sales agent for purchase, which contact number should I use? was it: 1800-88-8202 - If I were to made my purchase through sales agent by phone, do they have service even during at night? Since I'll be working during the day... (sorry, i know this sounds stupid... please don't kill me for this...) - What's the difference of complete cover and 3 Yr Next Business Day On-site Service?
Thank You

Hi,
I just got my laptop today and was excited with it. I've format it to Win7 Pro that comes with Dell, since it was WinXP originally.
I've install all the driver required by the system (there's a 'tick' on the driver i need to install using Dell Driver CD)
However, when i check the Device Manager, there's still 1 'Unknown Device'... any idea?
Driver I've installed: R253450 - Wireless R253452 - Bluetooth R253422 - Chip Set R253425 - CPU R253436 - Graphics Card R253443 - Card Reader R253454 - Network R253457 - Finger Print R253705 - Chip Set Engine R260682 - TouchPad

QUOTE(bladegun @ Jun 11 2010, 11:02 PM) There is 1 device called 'ST Micro Accelerometer' which is the free-fall sensor used to protect your harddisk. Is it this one? ah... that's the one, thanks for the info. It's working fine now.

Just check my lappy today with CPU-Z and i notice the RAM speed was DDR3 PC3-10700 (667 MHz), which mean my speed was only 667 MHz? i thought it should be 1033 MHz when we purchase this unit? or am i wrong?

@rkgfantasy: what is the thing you put besides the power plug on the left?
by the way, I've tested this lappy with L4D with all medium setting in a room with room temperature of around 25C and the heat for graphics card GPU was around 67C.

QUOTE cooler that attach to the ventilation and suck out the air.... actually i didn't know about such thing... and was wondering how does it actually helps? was it just to made sure that the air flow does not spread to the power plug besides it? it's just a 'box' with no fan / anything right?
