Hi! SPuNx,

Sorry to hear about u loss.

I bought the 3750 around june for my wife, it is quite a nice build. my wife love it, especially the matte screen. And it is quite cool in temperature. And I picked bronze for my laptop, it looks elegant. It is funny, I checked through dell retail out or lowyat, the smaller model does not look nice in bronze, nothing special. But it looks professional on the 17".

Nowadays, 17" doesn't have much choice, all are very expensive,. Cheaper range, I can find are dell vostrol 3750 or sager 5175. But sager one have to purchase through local reseller and service, repair might be troublesome.

Good luck on u hunt for 17" laptop. smile.gif

For the sake of curiosity I bought myself an Alienware M14x and now am a proud owner of one as of today. But comparing with pricing I found a few laptops which are much more economical and performance worthy as well. Still Vostro 3750 is in the list. Hope you enjoy your buy! Totally worth every penny icon_rolleyes.gif
As for the Alienware laptop, all I can say is that its more of a cosmetic laptop rather than performance since there are so many other laptops which can compete through performance wise and at a cheaper rate. But no regrets, I am somewhat a vain pot, but I cringe at the mentioning of people calling it a kiddy laptop. lol.

Wow!! you bought alienware, congratulation, it is very nice. I saw it in Singapore shopping center, when they were trying to promote certain online game with 8 to 10 M17x displaying. The red one look damn awesome. I tried to lift it up, it is quite heavy. And it is too expensive. I was addicted to it. rclxm9.gif Half of brain was totally occupied by it, even now.. hehe.. the other half brain keeping me from buying it. lol. Recently, Australia dell have 12% discount (ended in July i think), I spec it out basic option with AMD 6990m, then minus off 9% off GST. It still cost around S$3100 after 12%+9% discount, but is cheaper than Malaysia and Singapore dell. I don't think my sister can carry it back, too heavy for lady, and troublesome to transfer warranty back to Singapore or Malaysia. Finally gave up. cry.gif

I also saw the asus G73 in Singapore challeger Funan centre. It cost S$2900 but I think it is with gtx560 or 460, not worth it. It looks really like stealth fighter from the back. haha.. drool.gif

Now, trying to get Sager np8170 when amd 6990m release. Hopefully, 6990m will fall within US$200 range. smile.gif thumbup.gif

Checkout this thread, http://forum.notebookreview.com/windows-os...sta-before.html
It said the oem windows come with dell can use either 64bit or 32bit, but limited to the version you bought, eg, home premium or professional. And dell windows key can only use for dell computer and not others like asus, require same brand.

I have not tried it. Use it at your own risk. Do some own research b4 u try.

Good luck. biggrin.gif
