I've been taking supplements for as long as I can remember. Over the course of my life thus far, I have taken supplements that have helped me and supplements which didn't do much. The long list includes, spirulina, chlorella, royal jelly, b-complex, multi-greens, linzhi, probiotics, evening primrose oil, fish oil, yam-root extract, vitamin e, higher colloids, colloidal silver, bee-pollen, manuka honey, zinc, ginseng, various chinese herbs, homeopathic and i've even collected pills from a phytobiophycis therapist.
Right now, I only take vitamin C, Magnesium Oil and Efalex. Vitamin C I find really does help with my immune system. Magnesium Oil has helped me in more ways than I can even recount. As for Efalex, I have only just started on it at the beginning of this month so the verdict cannot be given yet. On and off, I have been taking folic acid. Last year when I started on folic acid, I really felt the difference - my energy levels increased. And then I ran out but my energy levels remained higher than before I had started on them. I haven't felt the need to go back to taking it regularly though.
Garlic oil has come in really handy too every now and again. But I find that taking just garlic in honey can help just as well, so no need to always spend so much on the pills.
What's funny about the vitamin C that I'm taking at the moment is that its a chewable C that's derived from fruit and yummy! As for Magnesium Oil, I find that its inexpensive - the same with folic acid. The most expensive that I am taking right now is the Efalex and my mum's paying for it, so..!
