Jr series use ATI 5470 while Jk series use 5145, the other spec is same like core i5 + 500GB HDD + 2GB RAM~~

Unfortunately, its kinda hard to find any Asus A42Jr as for now because its got replaced by A42Jk (HD5145)...as for A42Jr, you can check the first post

i finding for 14" laptop..perferable

-long battery life (3-6hours) very important
-4gb ram, Core-i5, 1gb graphic,
-interested in DELL Inspiron 14R and studio 14", or maybe other brand but no ACER...
-with windows 7 at least
-budget around RM2.5-3.3k

why you need 1gb graphics..?/[ tricky question ]

well.. i suggest you to go for Lenovo Y460 [ i5 430M + HD 5650 ] , RM 3.25k .. but it is limited .. so better hurry..

Long battery life, well that could be a problem as for now only a few (mostly Acer & Lenovo Thinkpad) can give more than 5 hours of battery life ...

Lenovo Y460 should do it, i5 430M + HD5650, but the problem is this unit got limited stock ..the one that on HOT SELL now is Lenovo Y460, i5 540M @RM3599..if you don't mind adding a little more than this should be the one to get ....

Dell Inspiron 14R is also a good choice, throw in Win7 Home Premium @ only RM3229 ...

erm better grahics?.. but comparing to 512mb vs 1gb is not much different for normal viewing right?....
yeah..my main requirement is battery life as very important to me due to recently i have to do my stuff at outdoor....and of course smooth and fast performance like gaming (eg:NFSW) once in a while, watch movies, burn songs into cds, listen to music.....

and i found that only studio 14' able to upgrade the battery from 6cells to 9cells....but not with inspiron 14R....

The size of the RAM for Graphic is just for show...512MB is more than enough ..and also,the type of VRAM also play a big factor whether the GC can deliver or not

Not sure but i guess for 6-cell battery, max battery life (with all lowest setting + WiFi) would be around 3~4 hours ...even Asus N81Vp (T9550 + HD4650) can last 3 hours and mine, BenQ S42 (P8600 + 9600M GT) can last me a merely 3 hours plus
