Had problem with its hinge after 3.5 years usage, the lid can't hold the pressure anymore...
Battery life drop also
Overheating, which just need some cleaning...
Other than that, everything works fine and still using it today...

On paper, GT420M should be much better than GT335M, but as for now, its performance benchmarked is lower than GT335M..

Hello... I've read your posts. I need some advice. I'm looking for a lappy for gaming + 3D rendering purposes. I have 3 options in mind.

1) Asus A42JC

2) Sony Vaio VPCEA32FG

2) Acer 4820TG

I have a preference for Sony but the price is the steepest amongst all. If I were to choose Asus, what other models suits my requirement? I'm not such a hardware guy, can someone advice me between ATI 5650 and the NV GT420M? Which would be better for gaming?

Previously Asus had a model: Asus A42Ja, i7 740QM + ATi HD5730@RM3599. Is this still available? HD5730 > HD 5650?

BTW, isn't Acer 4820TG equipped with ATI HD5470?

Hope someone can help me decide in terms of performances. Thanks.

In view of budget, A42Jv rules!
and as said before, better get EA36 if intend to get EA16 since you are practically paying the same price for better stuff...
