OMG A42Jv just what i looking for!
Should i buy it now or wait until pc fair(2)? Need to bring the laptop to oversea in Aug. Scare later stop produce again... like A42jr. |

glad to had visit this thread today. Was going to purchase the acer 4820 few weeks ago which is like RM3k and now drop till RM2.7k. Then now with the new Asus A42Jv at RM3k, which is very tempting. Just bought the Asus A42Jv hours ago.
 too bad... don have much time to try out this lappie for this week...  |

Hi sifu-sifu... please give some ideas about these two...
Dell Inspiron 14R, i5 450M + ATi HD5470, Home Basic RM2999 or less when upgraded to 2 years full warranty Asus A42Jv, i5 450M + Nvidia GT335M RM2999 I know 1 is laptop of the month but only got time to play game during weekend... Maybe I should try Toshiba C640D-1004U... for my basic usage only... but cannot find enough info on them... Thanks!!!  |

well, the design everything is the same as the asus A42 series laptop. Guess its just the specification is different. battery wise... cant comment yet... still charging (started charging at 11++ pm)... do i have to charge >8 hours for the first time? forgot to ask the sales person... keyboard and the touchpad is quite fine... while the built quality also seems to be fine imho. cant explore further as need to go and rush on my work already... anyway, refer attachment for the windows index experience score (wont be running CPU-Z etc... as i'm not free to do so at the moment and have no idea how it works =P) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

So, A42Jv does have Optimus
..one good thing for it  ..so, when on load or need the power GC, it will automatically change to GT335M .. |
