To know how much your HT consume the energy/electricity. Just refer to the manual on the power rating.

For ex:

TV 300W
DVD 150W
AVR(Marantz SR4400) 325W
Speakers NA as the power is from the AVR
Sub woofer 500W
Total 1275W or 1.2KW

This is just a guide as the AVR power is not constant.

Just 2 cents...

I just enjoy the things I buy.

I recently bought a 42" Plasma Full HDTV to surf the net for hours everyday. Watch Astro, BR/DVD, online movies & play xbox also for hours.
