 Sharp LCD problem!?!?!?!, There are shadow at the Screen....

Hello, I just found out there are shadows at my screen.. It came out randomly when I watch movie or play PS3.
By now, it will be there whenever I switch on the LCD.

When I bought the LCD, the sales person told me there's 3 yrs warranty on it, but I can't find any statement that saying 3 warranties,
even at the Receipt, or the Warranty Card.

My model is Sharp Aqua LC-32A53M. Bought at Jan 2009. About a year+ from today, then the shadow came out.
I don't switch on the LCD often due to my working's hour. sad.gif

Anyone knows what is the problem??? I will give Sharp a call for the repair ... sad.gif

If its still under warranty , go for a replacement , and make sure the demo to you on the spot to check any similar issue..

I remember Sharp provide only 2 years warranty not 3 years, so the warranty is still valid since its only 1years+, nothing u can do with the display just call for warranty n do not wait.

they will change the panel to new one..but using the old casing

Now my screen back to normal (randomly). Has called Sharp for the repair and it is still under warranty.

Keep us update n i want to know how good is Sharp service becos i own aSharp LED lcd tv n in case i need service i can have knowledge of the warranty service.

Sharp after sales service is the worst I have experienced. I had a projector that burnt out after only 2 weeks of home usage. Sent it back to Harvey Norman n HN sent it to Sharp for me. 4 weeks later, still no1 called me back. I had to go to HN to enquire. Then they told me there's no warranty for burnt bulb. What bollocks! A bulb with so called 5000 hour lifespan burns out after only few hours of usage n Sharp dare to deny warranty claim.

They gave me only 1 option. Buy new bulb at rm1500!!!! A 2 week old projector dies n they tell me to pay another rm1500. I asked them is there any guarantee it won't burn again after 2 weeks. They said "see your luck lor". sweat.gif

Anyway, I fought them for about 6 months. Lotsa emails, calls, fax and in the end they still said no warranty claim. Stupid, useless company. I was damn fed up and wanted to let Sharp Japan know about how Sharp Malaysia treated my case. I know nothing might come out of it but I wanted Japan HQ to at least know how Sharp Msia is treating Sharp customers and is damaging the integrity of Sharp's name brand.

Then my old man told me his pal is a big shot in Sharp Msia. He made a phone call and few days later I finally got my projector back in tip top shape after nearly 7 months. That's my shitty experience with Sharp Msia. I vowed never to buy any Sharp products ever again.

I have check with Sharp, the sharp person told me that all item is only come with 1 year warranty and once u purchase the item, you have to MAIL in the warranty card. and then I ask him about the 2 yrs warranty from shop and he denied about this..

So I call the seller and he told me there's 2 yrs warranty.. quite confused huh...and he said just bring over to their shop and he will kao tim for me with minimum cost...

I really have no idea what's the minimum cost, and they did told me they sent to sharp for repair.

So now I have to wait for 2 weeks and see how's the outcome ..

No wonder, in here have very little Sharp fans.
Will be keeping an eye on this thread and see what kind of shit...err...service Sharp gives.
