door crack? as far as I know if the door is not facing direct sunlight for a few hours daily it won't crack unless you get something not really go thru proper "ovening" process whistling.gif

btw how much did they charge you for the moulded door aka veneer door?

u got a few type al-cheapo and ugly plywood door, nyatoh plywood door, solid door, solid veneer door, solid door with tempered triple glazed 18mm glass door, fire rated door..... etc.

There is one door specialist in Ampang near the 9 Emperor Temple which is quite good and long time in door business, you can goto their shop to view the door. They are using spray technique to varnish door instead of normal hand brush technique use by contractors. I bought my double door there.

i got one solid door with glass inlay in the kitchen. the joining parts did crack a bit cause of wood movement. moulded doors dont have that issue. door is still fine but hairline cracks suck too.

hairline crack is normal for wood unless u use veneer door then the issue can be solve and look nicer and more even wood grain too.

of course spray varnish is better, look at your car paint, they are evenly all over the place compare to hand brush paint you will get hairline brush leaving all over the place.

I get my door from this company Keanrise (M) Sdn Bhd in Ampang becos my parents already use their service and purchase door from them very long time back. They r door specialist n have their own door factory somewhere in Port Klang and they are also cabinet specialist.

You should insist them to spray paint work like white color, usually its very expensive becos it takes about 1 to 2 weeks to finish the paint and sanding work, very cumbersome but the effect is splendid. If you are willing to pay for it I don't see why you shouldn't spray them white. They look majestic just like this one. You can goto their facebook page under name "Kean Rise Malaysia" to see their work. Here is one of their project of the client house. Never never hand paint them using brush you will regret it.
