Coming from p&s the 3.7fps of 550D is very good for me already.

'good' in the sense of reliability, durability etc. As u know memory card is the most important thing when it comes to photography.

Since seldom hear about panasonic memory cards so I have some concern on it. Was thinking of getting sandisk but not sure which model got compatibility issue with 550D.

laugh.gif Yeah, I'm also using 550D. tongue.gif

Sandisk does have compatibility issue with 550D HD video, you may want to avoid it.
However, some said only imitation Sandisk SDHC will have this problem, some lucky and have no problem. Still, users with HD video on 550D were using Sandisk...
I'll recommend Kingston, so far none of them has issue, I'm one of the users too. smile.gif

I have a bad experience with panasonic SD card. 5-6yrs ago, brought a panasonic sd card for my phone. After use for 2week, suddenly hit up and spoil. Claim for warranty. Get a new one. But use it later for camera on my holiday. But same problem. Hit up an spoil after take some shot. This time even worst. The camera also spoil. Cannot power up at all.

I just bought a 4gb San disk SDHC memory card from one of the trader around rm28 including postage.
First,i thought its an replica then i called the distributor (vector digital sdnbhd) to verify of the authentic of this product,i got verifed its genuine.

btw, looking a head on some question,i browse thruway bumped into Ultra Speed 16x,Fast Reader 32x ... why they are so expensive compare to the normal..ehhh,are they supposed to be the same or the reading speed capability on the memory card is double up ?

Yes, it reads and writes much faster compared to normal SDHC.

Eh...Is it really luckily if it cause your camera spoil? hmm.gif

Anyway, not to worry too much. maybe it is isolate case and unlucky for me. But one thing for sure, the memory card can spoil the camera if the card have problem.

Every memory card reader does read the SDHC but just that if you put in these cards into better card reader then you can see the difference. smile.gif

Usually the class difference only can be seen in HD videos. smile.gif
Most of the cases, body takes a more crucial role compared to cards. So if you buy a high end card but using it in a entry level body, you can't really see the difference. smile.gif

So I guess it is the card reader problem. smile.gif Card reader does make a difference though.

I have an Apacer AM 400 that has a writing speed of 7.4MBps and reading speed of 19.1MBps, no matter I use it with any PC, the speed doesn't show any difference.
You may want to invest into a better card reader, I bought this for only RM 25 and it could be cheaper other place. Worth for the money!

There is a forummer here that bought Apacer AM 401 instead, for only RM 23 at Sri Comp LYP. It has faster writing speed and same reading speed as AM 400. biggrin.gif

Transcend is doing a good job for me so far, class 6 and very cheap compared to its competitors. Pair it with sandisk card reader to get blazing fast speeds biggrin.gif
