I am the victim here speaking.
I googled and saw that he's selling cheap DSLR last Wednesday and got tempted to purchase from him.
I paid him RM1500 on the same day for a NIKON DSLR D90 and was told that he would send me the item the next day.
Waited and waited, no poslaju ever come to my doorstep.
Called to contact him to obtain the tracking number, but never did he reply. He even purposely turned off or hang up the phone.
Until yesterday, I tried to google again about this man and finally I found somebody who has had the same unfortunate fate as me.

Here I urge everybody, do not fall into the same trap as i did because he's still selling his item at ebay!

In his selling page, he would tempt you to email him to ask why the item so cheap.. then below is how he has replied me (english version) and to another victim (bm version).

i encounter the similar case before, but the guy is selling sony laptops. he used almost the same reply and reason as u post here. but i request for cod but he dont want. so i cancel the deal.

I'm very active on eBay, something I started up when I was living overseas. Been using eBay for about 5 years, n (touch wood) hav not encountered any problems.
Jus a word of advice.. If it looks too good to be true, it normally is!!!

lesson learn:
1) don't trust unrealistic low price.
2) COD, if possible, the best and safe way to trade.

this scammer is active on ebay, last time i saw he posted Sony LCD TV with very low price and also got many victims, I also reported on Ebay management but no action taken , so pls be careful and dont be GREEDY if the price too good to be true.

He's so bad. I just done making police report. Really hope that he got caught! How could he still be out there doing the crime over and over again.

this so called 'kastam' scamming is still active..hate them.. please go to hell all of them!!

There is no middle man involved, therfore you are getting it direct, this is why it is cheap. I have a few units to be sold, therefore, you do not have to Bid. You could purchase direct from me without having to Bid. Due to limited stock, i base on first come first serve basis. Who makes the payment first, gets it.
Regarding the Warranty, Full Warranty for 1 Year will be provided by Principal in Hong Kong. This is because item came in from Hong Kong. wallaa..i got conned too..12/3/10 - sad story..lodge police report at putrajaya..

its not a matter of being greedy..its not a matter of not knowing that the price is subtantially cheap or too good to be true..its not a matter that i do not know he doesnt have ebay track record..if i'm not a full time seller and has a good item to sell, i wouldnt dare to get my ebay account verified etc...all i want is to sell my item fast..

it just that i'm being lied, given this item as informed by him that was from Kastam..My friends last year got D60 custom stock at a very lower price..Thought i should take the opportunity this time.. but now only i know that item such as camera does not requires custom duty..NOW i know..NOW i know..

several telephone conversations took place before i decided to remit the payment to him:

(i) he is willing to COD..perhaps since i was not prepared to go their place (he claimed he is in Pasir Gudang) - he even asked me if i've any relatives in Pasir Gudang that he can COD deal with..

(2) Custom item always cheap, and like goreng pisang panas, who come first get first! there you go, u need to make decision fast..

(3) Mine, D90..at first, i did asked him about D5000..but he told me that d5000 is out of stock. He told me that he has 2 units D90 and 1 units D300s. he even told me that D300s is without lens kit, a bit pricey- however, he advised me to opt for D90 instead..he even told me that the lens is 18-55mm, not the stock lens kit of 18-105mm...why he told me all this thing? if he is a scammer, he will advise me to take d300s which u need to pay extra RM500..summor, he knows a lot about DSLR camera, lens etc...BUT NOW i realise that he is really a good scammer though..i'm stupid..

(4) He told me that he sold 9 camera before without any problem..but i do not take this as comfort..

(5) He told me that he is working with CIMB..not kastam..this indicate that he is not full time seller and only have very limited stocks..ii just want to be a lucky guy to get D90 at a very cheap price..

(6) He sms-ed me first about his details including ic number, bank account no etc..with his ic and bank account no, i was thought that if the deal goes wrong, i can just give his details to police and track him..

(7) I did asked him how he intend to send the item to me. He told me that he will send the item via pos laju. WITH insurance coverage summore - i didnt ask this insurance thingy but he told me that with an insurance cover, comfort can be derived as this camera is sold without local warranty- another indication that he is genuine seller..

(8) 6 hours later (after i've made payment), he sms me the tracking number, without me asking for it..- another indication of genuine seller..(i forgot to ask this, dunno why i forgotten)..

(9) I've been dealing with online transaction for more that 6 years, never get conned..seller can cheat me anytime as i will make direct payment, but i never cought into that situation as yet..

Tomorrow morning, i called up pos laju to get the status of shipment - this tracking no not exist..Pos laju asked me to wait another one day to re-check the status. When he didnot answering my call and reply my sms, then i know i got cheated..

I've given access to my email as the police wants to detect his IP address..

So far, there is no new development..

One thing that i could detect about this scammer is he use real account number.. How did this happened.? Of course that is not his actual account but he opened a new account under someone's name.. And i am sure that that person did not aware about their id been utilized.. How he get his cash.? Well, simply by using ATM card or online bank transfer.. My real concern is how he manage to open a bank account using somebody else id.? How if one day he uses my id for this.? I might been suspected for scam..

A little advice from me:
USE PAYPAL.
if buyer dont accept it, then either cancel it or ask for COD instead...

why paypal?
paypal can refund ur loss 100%...i also faced same scenario...bought a transformer figure overseas via paypal, that fella never send item...i sent seller several messages but no reply...so i decided to create dispute in paypal..paypal acts as middleman and pm's that seller, that seller still refuses to reply, paypal then deducts that person's account and refunds it back to me after a month since i started the dispute.

also, whenever a person tells u they got warranty for underwater stuff, its bluff usually...ive worked once for underwater company...they tell people got warranty, when issues came, they tell people "sure we will fix for u...but some charges will be charged for servicing...originally we charge more expensive...but due to u being under warranty, we charge u a lot less only..."

a real warranty doesnt require you as buyer to pay for damages during the active warranty period.

Tat quite an amount, should let someone track him down...

for over 1k item, nvr use post, maybe can consider if the seller comes with good rating.

i think you should always take note of people's customer feedback, both buying and selling, gives you an idea who you are dealing with. zero feedback; you should always proceed with caution in payment unless it is COD or PayPal (in which case you can always get your money back) bank transfers: no no unless you are certain you can get your money back or you don't need the money

Mengenai Warranty, Warranty penuh selama 1 Tahun akan diberikan oleh Nikon Hong Kong. Ini adalah kerana barang ini dibawa masuk dari Hong Kong. Yang mana, kalau ada apa apa masalah dalam masa 3 bulan, inform saya secepat mungkin, saya akan menggantikan dengan unit yang baru. Barang ini 100% Baru dan Original, bukan imitation, recond atau second hand. Jika selepas pembelian tidak memuaskan hati anda, saya akan full refund.

Selain daripada itu, COD atau COC hanya boleh dibuat oleh pembeli pembeli saya yang terdahulu (2nd / 3rd deal boleh COD), jika ini adalah deal kita yang pertama, pembayaran hanya boleh dibuat melalui Bank transfer dan saya akan courier pada encik/cik melalui Poslaju. Selepas pembayaran dibuat encik/cik perlu SMS saya nama dan alamat penuh atas tujuan penghantaran. Saya akan courier pada encik/cik pada hari yang sama pembayaran dibuat melalui Poslaju. Kos penghantaran akan dibayar oleh pihak saya. Selepas penghantaran selesai saya akan inform encik tracking no barang yang dihantar. Encik/Cik akan terima keesokkan harinya. Saya pasti encik/cik akan tertanya bagaimana jika pembayaran sudah dibuat dan barang tidak sampai? Sila contact saya dan saya akan jelaskan bagaimana deal ini boleh secure untuk kedua dua pihak.
