Anyone ... correct this assumption of mine if it's wrong: Those who booked the 2.0 from a DEALER will not be told of any allocation by Careline coz their name are not in the queue system. Dealers buy cash upfront from HQ then resell them to bookers. If need to inquire allocation status from Careline.. maybe need to ask name of dealer or company name.

I'm guessing that's why my SA never bothered to ask me for downpayment since booking with RM1K on 6 December.... even when I wanted to. He only agreed to apply bank loan for me last 2 weeks after rumours of bank loan interest hike .. but still said no need for downpayment yet. He said .. wait for car to arrive.

If my dealer has no money to buy upfront .. how ah?

Called Kia Careline for first time after many of u guys been told of 2.0 alloocation.

Nice pleasant girl answered.
After inquring mykad no. and (hopefully really) checking the system... told me that my name IS NOT in booking system. I told her that i booked from a dealer in December and mentioned the dealer company.

She told me that ALMOST ALL that book 2.0 from branch has been allocated .. however for dealer bookings, she can't really check coz the info was not accessible to her at the time. Took my h/phone no. and said she'll call back.

Hopefully she calls back today coz my SA has no concrete news ...

Maybe book from dealer in Alor Setar can get early coz nearer to Gurun. Dealer can just drive off car .. no need truck.

I'm in same boat as yours ... booked 2.0 early december and yet no allocation.

In dilemma presently whether willing to wait until the mid-April 2nd batch allocation (delivery end April then?).

You booked from a branch or a dealer ? Would like to know coz my story is .... my SA don't want my downpayment (yet) even when I offered to pay. Maybe coz i don't have any allocation yet? ... even in 2nd batch.

Ermmmm .... 2 to 3 units 2.0 allocation per branch. NAZA pushing for 50 car registrations per day.

I'm not putting high hopes on this first batch despite booking early Decemebr coz I think there are already 200 bookers for 2.0 in Lembah Kelang alone. Also begining to think that allocation is based on region ... as what forumer Limeeu found out. Hopefully NAZA will prove me wrong ...

Or maybe already 200 early bookers before 6 December ... which makes me a late booker. Sigh ...

Let me guess ... u booked on the 30th Nov from Naza Puchong ..... coz 29 Nov booker gets allocation. Missed the boat by one day ...

Maybe earlier booking date alone not enough (27 vs 29 Nov ). Perhaps the earlier full downpayment for allocation. Just my guess ...

Would like to thank everyone especially the Forte 2.0 bookers for this forum thread. For the past 4 months, I've enjoyed reading this forum V1-V5 more than my Facebook news. It's been one hell of a ride playing the waiting game. Congrats to those who has and will be driving their Fortes .. especially the 2.0s.

Due to unprecedented current circumstances, I've cancelled my Forte 2.0 and lose my 1K booking.
Anyhow will keep reading this thread from time to time .. especially need to have an idea of the reliability of Kia's new generation of cars. May be eyeing end of this year for this car below .... a comment in Paultan

Ya right .. twin moonroof. Dream only la that will reach BolehLand? Anyway .. lesson learned : Will not book Optima or any Peter Shreyer-designed from NazaKia unless the car really2 on the road. Coz if Optima price is true .... T,H and P will make noise again and have to play waiting game again. Also hoping for a Peter Shreyer penned MPV option as well like Wish and Stream ... coz expecting my third child this May.
