Yea most of the old lenses can be used as long as it's nikon mount. Worst come to worst if you have those really old lenses (which is even older than AF-D, maybe Ai-S?) u need to manually focus them. Old lenses like nikon 80-200mm, 28-80mm still can AF in d90.

The 50mm F1.4 is it nikon AF 50mm f1.4D? if it is, then you can autofocus with d90. it's a nice lens anyway.

Hmm not sure about the 100-200mm, what brand is it?

Ohh is it minolta 100-200mm f4.5? i think they dont make nikon mount, do they? if sony mount then it cannot be used with D90.

The 50mm 1.4 is the really really old one, definately cannot auto focus, actually both oso definately cannot autofocus, im juz worried that it wont be able to use on the d90 oni, dun mind about the autofocus.. btw, the 100-200mm is sigma.. and its been used on the super duper old nikon SLR

btw, the ones i mentioned are SLR lenses, not DSLR lenses..

Oh i see, so they can be used on old nikon film SLRs like the FM2? Then they all can be mounted on the D90 because the mount is the same.
To play safe, when you are buying your D90, take both of your lens to the shop and try it on the body see whether they work or not.

yes got it. Thanks very much. it seems that my shutter speed is too high resulting the dark images, even indoor. going to try taking some pics during nightime.
If Mr Moon comes out tonight maybe will take some too..but only handheld..no tripod.. sad.gif
*
then put your camera on some flat surface.. and use self-timer to prevent hand shake when u press the shutter lor.. enjoy shooting wink.gif

the settings (ISO, shutter, aperture) can be set like usual..
the only thing that changes when using manual focus, is that u have to manually turn the focus ring on the lens..

me, sometimes use manual focus (when taking macro pictures, or using my fisheye) its not that hard actually~
