better bring it along just incase u need it than needing it when u dont have it smile.gif
(same concept with keeping a condom in your wallet)

wearing the hood in reverse mode also affect the pop flash meh?

i was thinking, what a hood doing in a place where we need flash?
I only use the hood at outdoors shoot.

Seeing some photog put on their big long hoods at 10 pm at night ,
Not sure if they just wanna show off by making their lens longer or
theres any other use for it.
*
lol.. put condom in wallet later spoilt ler.. tongue.gif

btw.. what is the different putting the hood in normal mode vs reverse mode?

it depends to ur style and u want. some says it might not helping because they can just turn some angle that dont have flares. lens hood are used to reduce lens flare. espacially for tele lens as the gap between the lens mirror are farer, so the flare are more visible. but as i said, theres a technique can avoid lens flare and perhaps just PP it. me just used lens hood when outdoor + daylight. at nite or indoor (depends on lighting) prefer no hood coz i thnk i can see less light enter my lens and degrades my image. or it just my feeling but i like it dat way tongue.gif

What I heard was Meike is like the best among the third party though. I've held Phottix and another brand, can't recall which. Doesn't feel too nice which why I stick to the MB-D80 instead.

any idea how muc is the meike bg?

Hi guys,

I did the test as recommended by SHadow1111

http://focustestchart.com/chart.html <==

It seems okay wor. No back focus and etc.

Serial on the box ah? I think i saw 024**** not sure if its that one...the sticker.

Anyway, What UV lens filter would you guys recommend?
Hoya? Anything which will do the job but won't cost a bomb?

Also, place to buy? I heard J-One gives good price biggrin.gif

2 factor, one is the lens another is the camera's AF.

His D300s was working ok with other lens without requiring calibration, so the lens is the culprit.
*
for D90, if the issue wif the cam AF, can we send it to nikon SC to fix it?

Yes, can send back for calibration. My another friend who uses a D90 lagi terror, he used it more than 1 year only realized the AF has focus issue. LOL.

thats why lor, there is always a better thing to invest.
This is just a hobby well maybe 1 day , it ll earn u
back some money and maybe go full time,
then only u can go for fx and all the fancy lens.
Cept if u got alot of money, u can buy all of em
and sell it away secondhand by losing like  maybe
rm 1000 to 2000 smile.gif
Still u can remember that u once own the best of the best  wub.gif
*
yaya.. at least the price drop for lens is nt that much..
faster go go go get the best lens.. smile.gif
