it depends to ur style and u want. some says it might not helping because they can just turn some angle that dont have flares. lens hood are used to reduce lens flare. espacially for tele lens as the gap between the lens mirror are farer, so the flare are more visible. but as i said, theres a technique can avoid lens flare and perhaps just PP it. me just used lens hood when outdoor + daylight. at nite or indoor (depends on lighting) prefer no hood coz i thnk i can see less light enter my lens and degrades my image. or it just my feeling but i like it dat way

What I heard was Meike is like the best among the third party though. I've held Phottix and another brand, can't recall which. Doesn't feel too nice which why I stick to the MB-D80 instead.

i cant tell you what the different as i dont even own a battery grip...
what i know was entry level dun even have nikon BG, only D80 and above have nikon original BG...

2 factor, one is the lens another is the camera's AF.

His D300s was working ok with other lens without requiring calibration, so the lens is the culprit.

Yes, can send back for calibration. My another friend who uses a D90 lagi terror, he used it more than 1 year only realized the AF has focus issue. LOL.

Just tested n compare the battery. Exactly the same feels the same(weight) n the battery info shown at new indicator too. Well i guess it is an original battery. Just hope it dont spoil after 1 week. Haha.
