H&M is typical European stuff: huge and baggy. I have many of their dress shirts.

Would much prefer Uniqlo to open first.

I hope they're not like Zara. Shitty clothes at ridiculous prices.

What a queue, and such bad perfume wafting in the air! I still have the stink of cheap musk in my nostrils...

I bought the shorts at a kedai bundle. not from fahrenheit.

fit pic would be very compromising. it is semi sheer and i do not wear underwear. to cover it i wear my linen shirt untucked.

Bought a pink chino at uniklo. Wide through the calves but easily remedied by my tailor.

The prices are totally realistic, the stuff is wearable, and in some cases shows good taste. Notice how soft the collars and cuffs are. The stuff is made to a strict target cost, but much attention is paid to getting the details done elegantly. Zara next door should just close shop, LOL. A shame onto Spain.

Added on December 3, 2010, 1:13 amI've been to Zara many times and each time I'd hold up something totally banal and ask myself, "How much did they say they want for this piece of shit?"

With Uniklo it's like, "Even Padini is more expensive. And nowhere as thoughtfully made."

Too bad they don't have white chinos. Would have even bought two of them.

But they did have one other cool thing I considered buying but didn't. Might still buy it one of these days.

The pink chinos would pair perfectly with my pink linen shirt. Say hi when you spot me.

Added on December 3, 2010, 11:29 pmYou had better make that "very soon". Tmr hundreds of fan cheongs will be grabbing pink chinos. They will fly off the shelves.

I wore my pink Uniqlo chinos for the first time today. Kinda self-conscious wearing them. But they are deadly comfortable, they fit me surprisingly well after alterations. I also had the pewter-like buttons replaced with tan genuine horn buttons.

I think I'll buy more colours.

Added on December 25, 2010, 9:22 pmThe alteration is also the best I've seen in my life. The stitchings are nearly identical to the original. The pants do not look nor feel altered. The buttons are hand-shanked.

What other colours do they have for "original wash" chinos? I thought I saw purple and khaki. What else?

I think the name of the shop is Uniqlo, not Uniq or whatever. And no, I would never entrust the fan cheongs who work there with anything. People who work in retail are very low quality. My quality standards exceed what their little brains can encompass.
