Judging from your attitude, you are garbage compared to them. Your 'quality' standards will never exceed them even though their jobs might seem inferior to you.

If you have to ask I cannot tell.

I can only tell those who do not need to ask.

I went to Uniglow yesterday and there wasn't any pink chinos.

I told you to hurry up or lose out. The fan cheongs on this thread are collectively like a swarm of grasshoppers that will clean out anything I mention as cool. Even something as quixotic as pink chinos.

Added on December 28, 2010, 8:48 pmi learnt this lesson when i mentioned that daiso sells pocket squares. KABOOM! they sold out in a few weeks. I mean, how many people wear PS's anyway?

I have finally figured what top to go with pink chinos:

Navy T-shirt.

Tried white and pale blue shirts and nope, they don't work.

Added on January 14, 2011, 10:52 pmUniqlo sells navy Ts that fit me very well for RM24.

Uniqlo is so much better than Zara or Topman, it is frightening.

is the Navy Ts the one enclosed in a plastic packaging?
If yes, the quality is quite bad after the 1st - 2nd wash, maybe its just me.
*
I've said this before: T-shirts are meant to be disposable. They are all bad.

They shrink a lot at the first wash. For me, this is fortunate because they shrunk to just the perfect size. And it's difficult to find plain navy Ts. Especially at RM24.

WHERE ARE THE PINK CHINOS??

I only see pink shorts.

Next time you're there, ask the friendly (but ultimately useless) sales assistants if they ever had pink and purple chinos. They will say yes. You should ask a few because I imagine turnover is about like McD amongst the staff.

It's a fun and (relatively) inexpensive stop-gap measure. The real thing would cost me like RM1.6K.

I had the shock of my life when I tried it on. It actually fits. Shoulder width was perfect, shoulder slope was perfect, chest drape was perfect. The sleeves were cut just for me, I swear. Circumference and pitch of sleeves were perfect, but they are a touch long. Length of jacket was also perfect.

It is a 3 roll 2.5 half-lined (!) number.

Where the deficits show are the armholes which are lower than I would have liked, and the enormous back width. It's like 1.5" too wide at the upper back. It has suit jacket pockets, not patch.

I'll have it altered to get a better fit.

Added on January 16, 2011, 6:18 pmThere is also a dearth of waist supression.

The other good thing is that there is nothing about the jacket which is "trendy". Absolutely nothing. I could not myself have bespoken a more conservative cut. It is thoroughly traditional.

I've said this before: When buying RTW, never ever buy "slim fit". Go for regular fit. A slim fit jacket will show fitting errors, while leaving the alteration tailor with no room to manipulate the pattern. With regular fit, the fit is more forgiving and the tailor has more cloth to cut into, turning the regular fit into a slim fit.

I have to say I am unimpressed with the current batch of chinos. They use a far inferior pocketing silesia compared to those they used in my pink chinos.

They also have vintage chinos which use a very heavy and thick fabric. Ugh.

I saw a pic of what I think is the Uniklo founder in Sin Chew Business today. Behind him were shelves full of either T shirts or, what I really hope, chinos! In every colour imaginable!!!!! Wine, mustard, French blue, British racing green, so many colours OMFG!!

Aren't they completely overdoing this whole "dry" thing of theirs? Dry = polyester. I hate their dry stuff. Cheap and nasty.
