QUOTE(kianweic @ Jun 13 2010, 11:13 AM) I am really interested in the story as well as the RPG elements of this new Deus Ex. Square Enix is not developing the game. They are only in-charge of CG cutscenes.Hopefully Square Enix won't screw it over like Supreme Commander 2 in terms of story. Eidos Montreal is the developer. |

JC Denton must be pissed off because Adam Jensen has shades integrated into his skull and he doesn't.
I seriously doubt our world would have advanced technology such as cloaking devices and cybernetic augmentation in 2027 (which is like 17 years from now). Probably would take another 50 years. Also, when Adam Jensen was thrown out of the window, there was a girl who screamed after him. She's most probably his girlfriend, sister, or colleague. Eidos Montreal did mention the main character has attachments that needs to be guided by players. |

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Mar 19 2011, 12:55 PM) http://asia.gamespot.com/pc/action/deusex3/video/6304183 I guess I'm the complete opposite. I prefer to smooth talk my way through. It's so much more satisfying to achieve goals by influencing people with words. Moreover, I wouldn't want to get my trench coat dirty. The ventilation shaft approach is always the last resort for me hehe. The game got social skills I dunno about you but I really hate it when games implement Charisma skills. Charming people is not as interesting as combat or stealth, and putting points into social skills takes away from the fun combat/stealth skills. Yet sometimes you feel like you miss an elegant plot in a quest because your charisma is low. The power of persuasion is not to trifled with. |

QUOTE(Deimos Tel`Arin @ Jul 23 2011, 09:49 AM) invisible war not that long. the story is not related anyway also since human revolution is pre quel. The original Deus Ex with cutting edge visuals? I will be the first in line if human revolution is big success i hope they can re-use the game engine / models to remake the original deus ex etc. or an enhanced version etc. The first installment was pure brilliance. The sequel was something like Dragon Age 2. A half-baked piece of shit with lousy visuals and awkward HUD because obviously it was developed for the console crowd. Human Revolution looks promising. Definitely getting the augmented edition. |

I have been planning to buy the Augmented version until I get this message from TSB Hello, Publisher will not release Augmented and Collector's Edition in South East Asia due to region restriction for the DLCs. |

Well, pre-ordered to be precise. |

Just finished HR. A cerebral game but I still prefer Witcher 2 and this is coming from an arden Deus Ex 1 fan (y'know the one made by Warren Spector 10 odd years ago).
I dislike Adam Jensen because he dies from a 5 feet fall and jumps like a child haha. I was in Omega Ranch and I read an email stating that the Singaporeans released a deadly H5N1 flu virus and spread it to Malaysia killing tens of thousands of innocent lives. THOSE BASTARDS! I must warn Cawangan Khas about this revelation. Never used typhoon in boss fights. I unleashed volleys of death on Federova and Namir with the Heavy Rifle. Another way of killing Namir is by spamming UR-DED when the f*cker main panjat-panjat and then detonate! |

QUOTE(mukhlisz @ Sep 8 2011, 01:30 PM) u do not have an earlier save-game? or did he overwrote them all? if he did, my condolences bro.. WTF! so all that hacking and running around avoiding security bots and electrified platforms were unnecessary.anyways, i just found out that the laser rifle can bypass shields. making the final boss fight over in 10 seconds.. BAH! I should've kept my laser rifle. I was running around like a headless chicken. This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Sep 8 2011, 03:03 PM |

My first playthrough was mixture of both stealth and violence. Hiding behind cover becomes dull after awhile so I started fooling around with the grenade launcher and plasma rifle. I even carried turrets around for the LOLs.

QUOTE(Spiritviper @ Sep 9 2011, 07:21 PM) That's how I killed the 3rd boss I'll try punching Namir in the face in my next playthrough haha. Geez, I didn't know I could use cheesy methods to kill these guys haha. Makes me feel like killing Drizzt or Kangaxx. If you hack the turret and bring it to the boss fight with you, all you need to do is just sit back and dodge occasionally, all the while watching Jaron Namir getting owned by the turret. PS: May mess with your Pacifist achievement though, if you accidentally kill enemy soldiers with the turret while navigating the level This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Sep 9 2011, 08:48 PM |

QUOTE(Spiritviper @ Sep 9 2011, 11:33 PM) Also saw this one in a forum somewhere (Gamespot I think), they say if you punch Namir while he is vaulting over a wall, it results in an instant win Yeah, but I think it only works against Namir. I tried hand-to-hand against Federova and she owned me haha.As demonstrated here: On an unrelated note, this shit is funny. |

My main char and Korgan Bloodaxe. Immunity to imprisonment hehehe.I just realized I screwed up my Pacifist run because I somehow landed on a bum when I jumped from an apartment rooftop. Didn't realize until I backtracked to go to yet another apartment block and then I saw a body. Damn |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Sep 10 2011, 11:50 AM) I mean as overall, this game is GOTY compared to other games released so far.. Voice acting is atrocious. Adam sounds like he's got throat cancer much like Christian Bale's voice acting for Batman. There are definitely some issues with the game, but i really like how it turn out at the end. The voice acting is average for me. They did get the chinese accent right, though. Human Revolution feels more like a stealth FPS with some RPG elements tacked on. The original was a hybrid which rewarded ingenuity not just strictly stealth, hide here hide there take cover roll etc. No typhoon nonsense or takedowns. Also, Devs cut a shitload of content out so they can repackage those into DLCs. BAH! HR was supposed to feature Upper Hengsha and Montreal. The original Deus Ex featured so many locations and tons of side quests and had more open spaces and less restrictions. IMO, Human Revolution is therefore better than Invisible War but a light year away from Warren Spector's Deus Ex. GOTY? We'll have to see how Skyrim fares. At the moment, my GOTY is The Witcher 2. QUOTE(RangerKarl @ Sep 10 2011, 12:36 PM) The one and only. Legendary. I mean its Hong f*ckin Kong. The melodious music kicks in and the search for Tracer Tong begins. I think Ion Storm was on a tight budget so the voice acting for the Hong Kong level sort of deteriorated but it was very funny. "JC Denton in da freshhh" says Maggie Chow. QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Sep 10 2011, 06:16 PM) The voice over are alright, as there are games with worse voice acting. Its not bad, and the chinese voice acting is spot on. They do sound pretty much like that if you are speaking english with them. Even if its the trend, doesn't mean Eidos Montreal needs to follow. CD Projekt offered a free DLC and a free upgrade for Witcher EE and its sequel. Unfortunately, most devs still wanna milk from us. I actually prefer Adam's voice over other main character's like Shepard. Witcher Gerald still the best for me, without being annoying at all. It is the trend for today's games, as every game developers do cut out contents for DLC. Dont blame Deus Ex, blame the industry. As long as its not as ridiculous as Dirt 3's one, i am fine. At the same time, im looking forward to Skyrim's DLCs as they said they want it to be more like an expansion than just one more mission. Human Revolution definitely my GOTY for now, but Battlefield 3 or Skyrim might change that at the end. The Witcher 2's voice cast were pretty solid except for Triss Merigold. She sounded bored and unenthusiastic. |
