not actually necessary, i have both Garmin n OVI Maps in the phone, but seldom use, i know most of the roads in Malaysia, driving nearly 15 years

LOL .. after installing map, lock with A-GPS or WiFi's assistance if possible use ONLINE mode in settings and zoom out maximum move cursor to Australia .. zoom in back again .. see if u can access the roads over there, if can, go to settings use OFFLINE mode in settings then restart OVI Maps and relock ure position

for more memory free up .. find for the file "starter_background_apps.rsc" .. if not download from DM site and ..

put on unwanted EXE startups "$" dollar sign at the end like this "z:\sys\bin\logs.ex$" .. this will make device not to execute those files and saves more RAM on startup .. im not sure wats the structure in N97 since it has widget HS and could spoil HS so becareful when editing

for more C space .. u can remove unnecessary languages .r* files .. for us APAC users just need .r159 .r01 and .r31 .. if u see under \resource\apps there will be unnecessary languages like .r02 .r03 and many more, just remove it .. Nokia OVI Maps has it alot

And to ease usage i recommend SymSMB which will make phone drives readable with PC .. and use agent ransack i always cleanup my fone manually using SymSMB

i think so .. remove help files .. also u can play around with \rofs2\system\data .. remove the unused .BIN files

For English only just keep file listed below, the rest .BIN u can remove
