Hi, Great thread,, lots of good info.....NOW TO MY PROBLEM
Have HD Pro-s, just added 2TB seagate hdd last week, formatted, transferred 600gb files (movies, pics, music, from 3 hdd) over... Upgraded firmware to official YG_Mar_29-2011_new GUI
Went to new appz and installed all 3 appz. FtP, BT and Dlmonkey, had ftp to run at starup.

ISSUES.. all appz showed not running. Cannot turn on Samba from setup menu...
MAIN issue... cannot connect to the HD pro-s via browser from any of my 4 computers... well I can connect sometime via internal ip 192.168.0.195 can login with default admin and 123 as password, when going to neighborhood, cannot click on hdd or usb hdd it goes offline.
I can ping the hdpro-s from every computer, as I can login most of the time via IE it cannot be firewall issue....

help as all I want to do is to use the drive as a NAS drive... thanks in advance

Hi Guys,

just want to clarify that I am only running one appz, other 2 are uninstalled, ftp is installed and set to start at startup but it does not start at start up, says not running.
In setup menu when choosing to turn on SAMBA nothing happens. I cannot turn it on, it stays off. As written earlier i am using Win7, Vista and also Xp tp access the media drive, none of them let me enter it via http or via ftp, sometime ftp will ask for user name and password????

Really frustrating as all my documents etc are on the drive and i cannot access them unless plugging in via usb...
thanks for looking into this.

NAS issue RESOLVED...
hi all update on my issue......
in brief I had added 2tb hdd and updated to latest firmware for march and could not connect to my hdd as a external drive. Could not get Samba server to run, appz were not working, could not get ftp appz to start at statup as a sole appz.. all . SOLVED...... (well Samba server solved, not bother about ftp)

This is what I did, reverted back to December firmware, now I login to the HD PRO-s new issue,. could not see the hdd within the console
The december firmware was letting me login via ip address but no hdd...

upgraded firmware again, now the hdd was visible again, also was able to login via ip address and see my files..
Mapped hdd onto my network.... now I do not need to login via webpage..
can use the HDPRO-s as a NAS drive anytime via mapped drive.....

PS .. both downgrading and upgrading was done by removing hdd power cable inside the console, just in case this would make issues for the file...
