Been using the HDPro for a few days, and I am really happy with it so far.

Quick question, is the unit atble to multitask such as is copying files from Net to HDD and playing movie at the same time?

I have noticed on my unit that if you do not broadcast the SSID from the router, the HDPro can detect the signal but cannot connect. Not sure if that's a bug or a hardware/firmware limitation. As soon as I broadcast the SSID, HDPro connects without a hitch.

i'm still wondering how to set it... will try without protection WEP soon coz now enjoying some 720p movies... smile.gif
** tested without WEP it can enter... any way to solve this problem??? can't let my wifi unsecure...

Bro, I am not sure where to start.

To check if your SSID (Service Set Identifier) is hidden or not, are you able to see your wifi ID from the HDPro network setup screen? If you can see your wifi ID the your problem is probably not the same as mine. Another way would be to check on the router's end if the SSID has been set to be "broadcast" or not. If it is set not to broadcast just enable it.

Its also probably good to turn of your WEP/WPA security to test connectivity before turning it on again. Always re-enable your security after testing to protect yourself.

Normally I use my computer to connect the HDPro (either through LAN or direct USB) and organise folders & files.
But if you intend to copy lots of files, I suggest you use direct USB.

I tried few times to copy a DVD ISO (about 4.5GB) over LAN but ended up failed, and the HDPro disconnected automatically, don't know why ..... blink.gif
Can I ask if your HDD in the HDPro is formated with FAT32 or NTFS?

I have a movie which I cannot figure how to play on the HDPro. The Video and 2 channel audio is in a .WMV format file. While the 5.1 channel audio is in a seperate .AC3 format file. HDPro does not detect the .AC3. Can any suggest an application to merge the audio and video files?

Thanks in advance,

Can anyone pls help with suggestions? Can only find video converters, nothing much about merging the files.

This is very good news, will update to the 7/9 firmware. So glad I trusted my instinct with Yangxi's HDPro.

How to keep the menu from the OEM firmware? Looks "slicker" compared to the current one.

Have upgraded to this "Hdpro_20110923.rar" on my 1st batch HDpro from "Hdpro_20110406_oem.rar"

Bro, where can I find the Hdpro_20110923.rar? The 4shared.com site only has Hdpro_20110108.rar.
