change new energizer also same problem..

how to check if remote problem? can order new remote or not?

Just to share my personal experience with the hdpro remote ... changing the firmware helps a bit.

With some firmware version, the remote control response is very sluggish. Did you just upgrade your firmware recently by any chance before the remote acted funny?

other DTS , DTSMA , AC3 happen this problem?
Yes also, even files < 3gb
Seem like not "Unstable problem" just wonder why can not updated "permanently" to the player ( of course i checked software version shown "updated version" already )

u connect coaxial/optical to your AVR?
Coaxial to AVR
HDMI to TV

Are you playing files from HDD or USB or Network? Could be problem from the single source (either hardware in HDPro or the connection or the source itself). How about you try from other sources?

Another thing to try is change the coaxial cable to your AVR. Doesn't sound like it but no harm trying. Can use those cheap audio cables with red/white/yellow RCA heads.

Edit: How about playing the sound directly from your TV through the HDMI connection. Do you encounter same problem?

@httan

Did you try with other mkv files? The one you tried has 8 reframes and realtek 1073 may have a problem handling it. If cannot handle file properly, sometimes the audio is also garbled.

Glad that you sorted out your problem. No thanks needed as I learned from your problem as well.

Our batch is the 1073DD and not the 1073DD+ chipset. Unfortunately, the newer firmwares (for the newer chipset) may present some problem especially for the TrueHD/DTS-MA encoded mkvs.

I am using the Nov2010 version firmware and it seems stable enough.

Here I back again.........
After that day updated to June OEM2 version, it appeared no problem to play all (almost > 95%) files, I tried off the main switch & on it back the same day with no problem & on it on the second morning with no problem also.

But during the second day (night time when I back at home), the problem come back again, I need to update everytime to ensure no problem playing all file & realised that all HDMA sound totally cannot play unless restore, normal AC3 5.1 channel no problem, therefore >90% of my 6TB movie can not play.........

I don't know why it can last only over night, ONCE a WHILE only !

This is very funny unstable problem, now it make no different to restore it to OEM or non OEM version since I has to restore it every time and it would be better go for latest version say Jan 2011.

Again? BTW, what is HDMA sound? Do you mean TrueHD and DTS-MA? By right, our chipset is only able to downmix to LPCM2 channel, right?

Can your AVR support LPCM through HDMI?

No network? Saves a lot of time wasted on copying/burning, not to mention storage space.

I have always just play from network. Even massive mkv files. All my movies BT'd on PC hard disk. No copying here and there.

No problems so far. I'm using the old HDPro. LAN is wired and not wireless.

Anyway to improve streaming over lan?
My setup
Com---homeplug--router--hdpro.
Would link with gigabit switch improve playback?
*
Wired 100Mbps LAN may perform consistently better than a homeplug or a wireless.

Hi all.

I got a network related problem. Hope experts here can help.

Both my HDPro+ and computer are connected using LAN cable to my router.

I can browse my HDPro+ using my computer and stream HD video from HDPro+ to my computer without any problems.

However, I can't access my computer's shared files using my HDPro+. I got a "Logon Fail" every time after I enter my computer's username and password.

Anyone has any idea what is wrong and how to settle it?

What version of Windows you have on your PC?

If Windows 7, you can follow the instructions here: AC Ryan help

From my own experience, you'll probably need to follow the instructions to edit the registry as well.

Hey guys im using the H1055 media player which i bought last year and its working great. Until now, when i tried to play movies, instead of showing the correct decoder such as DTS / DD at my AVR, now it only shows PCM, and onlt the L/R and SW are active, the rest no sound. If i change the DSP program on my AVR to other program like 7ch surround i can hear sounds coming out, but not when i use straight mode.Any help?
*
What sort of connection do you have between your H1055 player and your AVR?

HDMI? The standard red-white RCA audio cables? Or Optical Audio/TosLink?

If using red-white RCA audio cables, the best you can get is stereo (which is L-R-SW).

Im using HDMI, was getting DTS or TRUEHD sound all the time, until last week, only able to get PCM with only 3 channels (L/R/SW). When i play blu-ray using PS3 my avr still work fine.

I don't have a H1055 but can you check the audio setup on the H1055?

For the HDPro which I own, there is a setting for HDMI audio. You can select "LPCM-2" channel or "RAW". You might want to ensure that it is "RAW" or something equivalent.

If that still doesn't help, was it due to a recent firmware you just updated? Maybe you would like to revert to previous firmware just to troubleshoot?

Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately I'm using Windows XP. I'll try to see if there's any settings there that I can use on Windows XP to see if it helps.

Do you have another PC to test accessibility to this shared folder?

Suspect it could be your anti-virus/firewall settings.

What would be the ideal hd pro resolution setting (720p, 1080p, etc) for a hd ready (not full hd) lcd tv?. Anyone? Thanks.

I think the resolution of your play content would be more relevant. Ultimately, the TV will scale it according to its default resolution (which is HD ready (720p) resolution).
