What is the latest firmware for HDpro mini +? The one with aluminium casing with 1073C+ chipset.

Yes, "readable RMVB file become corrupted" it is the same problem, after stuck playing it on hdpro, it become corrupted when I check it on my laptop. So, I have no choice, have to delete my rmvb corrupted file

Another issues that I still waiting for the proper fix is ;
1. Cannot play sound while viewing Pictures [slideshow mode]
So boring watch slideshow with no sound, with all my family >.<
I dont know it is fixed already or not.
2. Slideshow effect bug.

after stuck? mine is not stuck..  i copied the fully readable file and play the whole file till end. then 2 weeks later i tried to replay the file and found that it's corrupted, some with the original file size and some become 0kb. It's like WTF ... i've just make a quick check on rmvb file, dunno this happen to my mkv files or not as there's some 10G ++ file there that i haven't watch and i don't have any backup on my PC, since my PC is out space so i transferred all big big 1080p mkv file to the player, and now this happen, hopefully not to those big file (finger crossed)!

I had updated to May 2011 firmware which the DIY version. Since 2011 firmwares, I not transfer BIG sizes of files thru networking. Just now I transferred one RMVB around 300MB, my PC hang immediately. I found out also my HDPRO+ hang as well even reboot both PC & Player. I restore all versions of firmwares in 2011 but no luck. Well it back to NORMAL after restore back to OFFICIALLY YANGXI DEC 2010 firmware. So Yangxi, please check those DIY firmware AGAIN. Thanks.

mbps not equal to mb/s
100mbps fast ethernet max speed is 12.5 mb/s (in theory) average speed is 6 mb/s as you will never able to fully utilize all 100 mbps.
USB 2.0 average transfer speed for external hdd is 20-25 mb/s in win 7 environment. If you use winxp it will drop but can use apps like teracopy to max the transfer speed (which only good for big size files).
So, USB 2.0 is definitely faster than 100mbps fast ethernet. Considering Realtek player write speed is only 1-2 mb/s, it will not beat usb 2.0 even you running gigabit.
As for DVD, i suggested you to burn rmvb files not your 10gb mkv file. For most full HD / HD mkv, DVD DL is enough.
What i did is burn all rmvb to dvd, but none of mkv to DVD DL as comparing cost per gb, external hdd is a lot cheaper than DVD DL.
Your Unifi can reach 5 mb/s? wow that is super fast and it is almost 40mbps. My area don't have unifi, still using streamyx.
Guys, which unifi package can reach 5 mb/s? I want to sign up when it is available in my area. (Hopefully it is not 5mbps as actual max speed is only 625kb/s)

I found after restore back to latest firmware of Hdpro_20110108.rar, I unable to use the "return" button during video playback either on the controller or the touch panel of the player. Is it I have to restore back to Jun 2010 OEM version? My player is Dec version player when I first bought from you end of last year.

Is that any official firmware going to released to solve all issues since all 2011 firmware that  simply borrowed from DAT@GE not working at all?

Having bigger problem than HDPro+ playback issue, Streamyx blocking most famous direct D/L.
CK Boon, Is your Unifi+BT affected? (if not, seems like need to go back to BT life)
Changing dns resulted in substantial drop in D/L speed. How?

hey yangxi, i have a problem with my Hdpro, if i press the power button from my remote, the whole things turns off (as its suppose to ) but i notice the fan inside the hdpro is on and running while the console shows the red off light, . any help on this matter?

and also, looking for an upgrade or another model, cause my 2tb hard drive is sitting idle, i would like to know which model u recommend, for playing 1080p at DTS, (not a fan or streaming and not really into video recording)
