QUOTE(shortleg88 @ Mar 20 2010, 01:33 AM) Liverpool this weekend *heart pounding*, let's hope lady luck or skill can smile upon us. Let's hope Lady Gaga does as well. Anyway, the Bayern match, sure going to be a scary one. Here's hoping that Brown/Rafael/Neville can match the pace of Robben/Ribery. Evra of course he should be able to contain Robben/Ribery/whoever's on the right. :/ But there's a few positives in fact, Bayern aren't really performing in the Bundesliga at the moment (ARE THEY?! I HAVE NO IDEA)

Well, it's against Bolton, so I'm hoping SAF plays the risk card and put on El Hadji Diouf. Oh wait. Mame Biram Diouf partnering Berbatov. And if it doesn't work out, half time put him out and put in Giggs.

QUOTE(rayz1031 @ Mar 24 2010, 12:01 AM) If we going to Reebok with lone striker formation, I would definitely put all the hope on Berbatov. Is time to prove his worthiness to team. I'm not saying he ain't contribute or perform enough but this will be a great chance to shut those doubters mouth. Without Rooney, is time for Berbatov to shine. I kinda upset when people said we playing with 4-6 when Berbatov playing the lone striker role. With Park, Valencia and Nani hitting peak form at the right moment, we can tuck in a goal or two and Scholes and Giggs is there to provide more experience. Game against Bolton is a character test for the team, we need to win it. We've played that formation before, and from my experiences looking at the matches with such formation, he sucked. Hard. But there's always 2nd chances to prove him wrong though. I'd love to see him do that. You know, to think if with the pace of Diouf and the random technical passes of Berbatov, once combined, it could be Rooney + Berbatov all over again, except with a black Pele. (dear god that sounds offensive)

QUOTE(aboogee @ Mar 24 2010, 01:30 AM) Berba is simply useless alone. Playing him with macheda oso i think no use. Macheda is almost like him. We need him to partner a hitman. Cos he naturally drops deep and he seems to need 3-4 solid chances in a game before he tucks one in! THEN IT'S DIOUF!!! DIOUF!!! But anyway, The closest to becoming a target man is that kid (ugh). But the only thing that he sucks hard is his first touch. On too many occasion he has failed to control the ball and gave the ball cheaply to the opposition. Macheda's pace is not good enough, he has the finishing of Owen, the height of Berbatov, but the pace of Sol Campbell. I dunno who else to compare him to :/ (OH. He's just like Nicklas Bendtner!) Diouf, HE'S THE PERFECT SPECIMEN! OH YEAHHH. This post has been edited by Sheep319: Mar 24 2010, 01:39 AM

QUOTE(kamkamparadise @ Mar 24 2010, 08:25 AM) i beg to differ when u compare macheda to bendtner. macheda have better finishing quality than bendtner. To be honest, both are the same. Inconsistent in front of goal. This, of course, is personal opinion watching both play. EDIT: Obviously, with Macheda having lesser playing time, it's hard to compare, but playing style-wise, both are somehow the same. This post has been edited by Sheep319: Mar 24 2010, 09:09 AM
