Comparing NB to pavly-dunnowhat-ko is simply a no brainer.
1st of all, Pavly...ko will be 29 this year, there's not much years left for him. Actually there are lotsa ppl still unconsciously forget that most of players are just 21-25. NB is only 21 & developing pretty well and getting rid of him is just like 'throwing $$$ into the sea'... laugh.gif

For the moment, most of the players + AW are overconfident after the win over porto. It's porto that was pretty dreadful. Just like before the 1st loss to MU & Chelsea. Hopefully AW will be able to develop a plan B rather than just stick to the current formation since it's proved ineffective against MU & Chelsea..

But, it's always wonderful to watch the lads to play the way they want to play and hopefully the ladyluck will stay will us.. thumbup.gif

At lease Eboue and Gilberto have been performing well before where the former is getting better again.

Denilson...looks like take things for granted, lack of passion (no matter winning or losing looks the same for him), lack of progress, etc. He can be kept by the bench but i think let other youngsters to have a shot even better.
Last season we're arguing that his short passes were important thus he's spared. But it seems this season his performance really disappointing and he's no where developing into an attacking minded midfielder nor a holding midfielder.

As for Bendtner, he's gel-ling into the team now and ARSENAL is among the best teams in the world with world class development facilities, ect. why would he walk anelka's old path?

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Mar 13 2010, 08:03 AM)
2 long range rockets and a magnificent freekick this season plus a few long shots previously, and you still call them deflected?
A goal is a goal regardless of whether it's a deflection or a tap in or a 40 yard volley.... I don't understand why people just want to dig out whatever faults just to bash Denilson; like Nik in the past.

For those that have been with Arsenal long enough, knew that NB is 1 of the hottest prospect since his Birmingham days. His goals while playing for Denmark are quite spectacular yet some gooners not aware of that. I think some critized him out of frustration i.e failed to convert easy chances.. tongue.gif

The main thing for Denilson is not his faults being magnified, but rather that the other players progress making him looks 'static'. Since Arsenal have been producing Gem after Gem and we can witness such in making again in Song and Diaby. Song has been progressing steadily while Diaby turned to a new man only after his injuiry at the early season. Because of such good development from players, those progressing/developing too slow are easily spotted.

Actually i dont think mostly insisting to sell him but rather whether can we 'live' without him. On the other hand, whether Fabianski should be on the bench is also quite questionable. He may be talented but he's really cant cope with it mentally. After years with Arsenal he's still got cold feet and that's quite worry.. sweat.gif

It was a wonderful win & a boost to believe that we can go all the way after a damn hard 80mins.
As mentioned, we've started fantastically but switch-off afterwards + Eboue & Sagna is not really working. Still pairing Walcott & Eboue is better.
For the penalty, yes it's offside but then Campbell's challenge is a bit slow thus enabling the sucker to earn a penalty. But i think Campbell had done his revenge... whistling.gif

I think AW should encourage the players to shoot from outside the box when the passing/crossing is not working as in last nite match. The best example is on Nasri who chose to pass the ball to AA even he got a very good chance to score from 15 yards. That's really a baffling decision. But luckily Denilson made one of the best decisions of the nite to make that shot (that leads to the goal). IMO, it's a more conservative line-up rather than the usual attacking team and that almost didnt pay off. NB right now is really the man that to 'shoot us up' and he's really abit RvP-ized at the moment..

Back on Denilson... He has quite a good solid game last nite but he still jogs..lol..
Most of the critism are not purely saying that he's been useless to us. It's his current performance and development that left the fans wondering.
Let's make it this way. Let's assume that he's one of your employees.
You have been nurturing him for some time and then last year he's doing pretty well + making money for the company thus everybody is happy. Now, for this year, he's performance is dropping which can be normal but it's to the extend that like he's not doing his works or not interested anymore. For certain times, he's erronous when doing his works which can affect the company. So, you as the Manager, HOD, or GM, have to do something so that he'll work-up again to perform again. Not just sitting there claiming "Oh..he's done well last year, he contributed well to us last year, etc"..On the other hand, he's still young, so must learn from critisms. If there's no critism, then it means nobody cares about him.

Anyway, DUFF...please be possessed tonite...
