QUOTE(yktan9 @ May 14 2010, 06:36 PM) Think u're referring to LG EVE right? How about the price??I won't go into the technical specs cause you can compare that yourself. More of my personal review. I would say the best thing abt it is the full 5-line keyboard. It really is nicely done. This and the decent 3" screen and the phone is still small and light, yet solid to hold. The built in sms function features "Threaded SMS" so you don't need to install handcent or other 3rd party apps for that. The camera's 5 megapixel. The screen is resistive, so while people say it's not that good, i found it not bad at all, even compared to N1 and X10. There is an advantage even? You can still use a stylus if u want to. It comes in handy because the screen isn't exactly LARGE. Oh yeah tattoo's screen is a little sub par. Only downside is Android 1.5. You need to spend some time to flash it to 1.6. Yeah, it has QWERTY keyboard.. But don't u feel weird holding something thick on your hand?? 14mm vs 15.9mm Sorry, when someone saying about LG.. I feel a little bit.. |

Really can upgrade to Android 1.6? Because it'll be a huge plus for me Also I believe that this phone is DivX enabled out of the box..How bout the experience in using it? TIA |

QUOTE(zero_kbom @ May 14 2010, 09:12 PM) Hmm...been interested wif this phone too..Cheap android phone FTW!..As I just need it as a 2nd phone haha3 I know a lot of people say it's just a matter of getting used to the touchscreen keyboard. But maybe i'm from a programming background, so it's not possible to match the speed of typing on the keyboard using touch screen. On top of that, it's also not possible to type on touchscreen without looking at the screen. Go to such lengths when there is good keyboard on hand?Really can upgrade to Android 1.6? Because it'll be a huge plus for me Also I believe that this phone is DivX enabled out of the box..How bout the experience in using it? TIA Android 1.6 will be officially released soon, by a Canada operator called Rogers. They've found a beta copy of the ROM and already successfully upgraded. Now waiting for the official ROM. Rooted Rogers 1.6 ROM They are also trying to get 2.0 loaded, but i don't have much faith in that. LG GW620 Development This is the first LG phone that i have ever used. So far i'm more than impressed, especially given such a low price. If only there is a 3.7" model. The screen's a little less responsive as the X10's. But then i found the Nexus One also not comparable to X10's :S Now that an AP Milestone is around RM1.5K, I would recommend someone to consider that, purely for the bigger screen. For the budget conscious, I still recommend Samsung Galaxy Spica 5700. |
