just fixed up my DFI nf4 ultra-d with vitestas ddr 500 and x850xt pe last nite..everything boot up nicely...running pretty fast(compared to my p4 3ghz) and 3dmark2005 came up nicely at 6.2K...apart from the major gripe about the bridge heatsink being placed too close to the pci-e slot, not much complaints...oh yeah..and the funny pattern of having the DIMMS in slot 1 & 3 ONLY for dual channel..doesn't make sense doh.gif ....will try OCing tonite and see how much I can go...currently burning the stuff in....hope things will go well thumbup.gif

from my own experience, i bought my enermax 465 watter ATX v. 1.2 (i think) with 33amps on my 12v rail almost 2 years ago...that time got no 24-pin connector mobos (or so I thought) so i curi my friend's 20-24 pin connector and connected it to my DFI NF4 Ultra-D...no problems at all, still running stock on 3/10 BIOS though. Memtest86 found no errors on my adata vitesta ddr 500 at SPD (3-4-4-8) and all running on stock. Will try OCing it tomorrow to see how high I can go... thumbup.gif

i have a weird problem with my rig ever since i switched the jumper to the 4v vdimm...everytime i start my comp, my monitor won't power up at all...need to restart (by pressing restart or shut down then restart) then only the monitor will power up....if not, it will just go to standby mode...but once clear cmos, everything back to normal...running 3.4vdimm and 1.45vcore...anyone got this prob b4? sweat.gif

have to try a few times then it'll work one this one.. could be because of the jumper problem also

*
how you managed to solve that problem??what's your actual cause of it?i know once clear cmos, everything back to normal...hmmm sweat.gif

yups.. that is what i meant  thumbup.gif

i think its better for u to find some other way to make it secure.. coz stock heatsink is much better than that vantec iceberg  wink.gif
*

i just bought the ocz ddr booster and had to transfer my rams from the orange slot to the yellow slot and the booster in the orange slot...however, when starting my comp, the msg that i need to put dual channel rams in the orange slot keeps coming up...how to get rid of that?running DC in yellow slots seem fine to me...

You installed your card on the first slot? Did the silencer touched the nf4 chipset fan?
*
yup it's on the first slot...not using silencer leeee...using the TT giant 3 cooler... cry.gif

Why remove silencer leh? Did it touched the NF4 chipset fan last time? For what i understand there is no difference in NF4 chipset temperature even though it is blocking it.
*
yah man..with the silencer, totally cannot fit into the PCI-E slot as the chipset fan is blocking the back end of the fan(the roundish part)...correct me if i am wrong, but the arctic silencer is the same as the HIS silencer, no?

The roundish part supposed to be facing outside, not inside. So i don't think it's a problem
*
yup..that's right...but from my HIS, first of all, the HSF is facing downwards, away from the CPU...but mine protrudes towards the end of the card and towards below the card...one day i go take a pic of it and see how to rectify that...
