any reported of such case in from other place? if it is, then most probably as what we suspected...alphamatic does not cover the warranty since no receipt...whatabout dfi...but surely need to wait until the one year local waranty ends...yikes!!!
*
Alphamatic does not cover warranty without receipt because they do not know when you bought the mobo and do not know whether warranty has expired or not.

hehehe good question.

It is to be known that the mobo is from local distributor. The warranty sticker can be sticked anytime they got the stock from DFI. This does not prove that it is the date of purchasing by customer and thus the receipt from dealer is more important. smile.gif

Havock^64, i believe there is a setting called PCI-E in Genie Bios section. You can set it to 100MHz in order to lock the pci-e frequency.

It simply indicates that your system hangs in the process of booting into windows xp. Make sure no error is caused by your increment. Run memtest to check whether your ram can sustain at 225MHz.

If i'm not mistaken, this issue has been resolved by latest bios version. However, there are some users having compability issue with Corsair Value Select Ram. smile.gif

Different modules need different slots. However, trial and error is the key to find out the best slots for yourself.

There are many people saying that orange slots for TCCD and yellow slots for BH-5 but this does not apply to me. I'm using BH-5 and i use orange slots for better stability. You can also try changing the position of your RAM. Like stick 1 to slot B and stick 2 to slot A and vice versa. smile.gif

What's the issue with the yellow slots? Can you elaborate more?

Initially only orange slots are meant for dual channel. This had been fixed in earlier bioses. smile.gif

Set yourself a goal. Push it with different slots. You will see the difference of the slots by then. smile.gif

Drive strength. Firstly you try level 1(weak) and level 2(normal). Data strength to be level 1. You find out weak or normal suits your RAM more. You might wanna set higher level of 'weak' or 'normal' to reach your goal. Do not forget to set a good TREF to pair with your drive strength.

gsan is correct, manually set your timings. Some are the important factors to achieve stable like Trfc, Drive STrength, Tref, Data Strength, Skew.....
