Some boards are like that
Even my MSI overvolts in Windows, set 1.44v in BIOS, in Windows it hovers around 1.46V to 1.48V maximum

To me overvolt still better than undervolting at full loads at least in my case

UPDATE: Prime95 Blend test 17 hours and 43 minutes error free ^^

If auto restart means you increase voltage again...

So problematic indeed...when BIOS is the culprit....
My MSI also using same chipset, AHCI worked flawlessly....

My OC settings are as follows:-

300HTT x 11 = 3.3Ghz
CPU-NB = 2400Mhz
HT Link = 2400Mhz
CPU-NB voltage = 1.2V
Vcore = 1.44V in BIOS
CPU:FSB ratio = 1:166 so its 500Mhz (DDR1000)
DRAM timings = 5-5-5-13-20-2T
DRAM voltage = 2.1V (OCZ Reapers)
SB Voltage: Auto
IGP OC: Disabled (default at 500Mhz)
Spread Spectrum = Disabled
AMD CNQ = Disabled
C1E = Disabled
SVM Support = Disabled

SuperPI 1MB = 20.686s
Wprime 32MB = 12.246s

The rest I forgot lol.....

HT Link voltage, I remember not seeing it in BIOS
I will post a pic at home with AMD Overdrive

Added on June 23, 2010, 8:07 pmEven with AMD Overdrive also I can't see anything ~_~
Since I didn't set any HT Link Voltage, I assume its 1.1V default

Thanks dude~~
Guess I was lucky for my first time with AMD haha

I have finally learned the ways of how to OC AMD as well, along with current Intel chips

Just basically additional stuffs to tweak compared to my olden P4 days

If its X6, gaming performance sure lose ler but one can't deny the extra threads needed for the future

If its me, video encoding thumbup.gif

It depends on luck....I can't even boot at 305Mhz HTT even with increase voltages and etc etc

plus the voltage needed is very high already to get it stabilize, anything lower than 1.44V = GGed. But however, what I've got now, I am satisfied haha

yup, but sometimes it depends on how gud is d combo (chi+board+ram). if all are ok, 3.5~3.7GHz is doable w/ some luck.  nod.gif

That processor is an unlocked version from the X2 550 BE or straight from retail?

Black Edition....no wonder can clock high speeds
I bet the BEs can do higher speeds with lower voltages compared to the FX5000s.....

Its okay~~
Basically this FX5000 Denebs are probably one of the first batches as well....some can clock high, some can't
I suspect its my el cheapo MSI board is limiting it....but oh well, RM240 for the board and can get 300HTT is worth it

Then your VDDNB is the IMC voltage
For ASUS boards its VDDNB
