Got, last time kunta & ah_khoo use em for oc'ing, tho ah_khoo board was actually the 770-G45 IIANM

IMO it all depends on the mobo itself, if the lesser chipset has better pwm's capabilities it may perform better than the higher grade chipset in oc'ing..

Beside it very subjective, u may see it as not much difference but to me its still different coz every chipsets have diff characteristic, even the choice of SB pairing may even influence a good oc..
I have so far used a few 7series mobos with different SB's (SB600,SB750 & SB710) and to me even going from SB600 to a SB710/750 does help me getting a few notches extra performance in general & o/c wise..
Just my opinion tho..

Whataya mean effect HDD? If ur talking about extra performance for the HDD when u OC sadly to say ur misinformed..
U won't get extra performance for the HDD from OCing ur pc.. Nor would ur HDD die prematurely from oc'ing..

If no built in graphic get the Gigabyte 870A-UD3 RM379 or Ahsos M4A87/USB3 RM325

I rike the Gigabyte but the Ahsos looks good too.. Try asking ah_khoo he had the chance to rape the Ahsos mobo just recently..

Both have basically the same spec, both 8+2phase, SATA3 & USB3 support, got core unlocking switch & 2 pcies but 2nd pcie 4x electrical.. Haven't seen any reviews about them yet tho

Oooops i made a mistake, ahsos doesn't have 2nd pcie but it has its own turbo boost system, works even on deneb cpus
