10feet is it the normal gate size or much bigger? how's the gate? is it as trouble free as they mentioned?
*
normal for 1 car entrance about 10feet

the gate is good. no trouble at all

but only installed like 3 months. so hard to say

brotan,

how is the performance of the gate so far?

they have a roadshow at carrefour subang now. certain unigate design autogates got discounts and come with 3-yr warranty. i am contemplating to get one to replace the existing gate.
*
used it 100% for about 3 months already. so far satisfied in general

but now got some clanking issue when opening the gate but gate still can open. they said most likely some bolt got some problem. will send tech to check

another thing i don't like is the remote sensor don't work too well from inside the car if your windows are tinted. not sure if this is normal for all autogate or not but they said most autogate has this issue

so i most of the time hv to wind down my window to open them

thanks brotan for the feedback. i've placed a booking with them for a new unigate and the gate will be installed latest in a couple of months' time.

i'm a bit concerned on the remote sensor not being able to work well from inside the car, since my cars are tinted with vkool elite. i never thought of this issue. i will ask them later. but the current autogate's remote control has no issue.

basically i like the trackless system of this unigate; i just hope the bolts will last as long as they are designed for. and the 3-yr warranty promotion is just timely.

they came and check today. confirm need some replacement. hopefully will be last blush.gif

about the sensor, they say can work about 10m (or 10feet, not sure) if no blocking. tried that, and it is as they said

so i guess they know this car tint issue

you should feedback when you installed yours if you have same problem. if you don't have, i would have to call them and give them flex.gif

recently I was quoted at RM 11k for 10 feet Unigate, why the price goes up so much? They also mentioned it's RM 9.9k during promotion or exhibition period, but still high compare to yours.

Wonder they overquoted or the price has been adjusted?
*
i think the price went up already since the last time i order (they told me that) and i ordered like 8 months ago

where did you go for your quotation? roadshow or at unigate showroom? maybe roadshow can get better price

unigate comes with the gate, isn't it? Ie, if I want to use unigate, I have to change my whole gate, right?
*
yup. their trackless system need to use their gate. can't attach to existing ones

From showroom.  I think I should wait for exhibition, according to them, they would have exhibition on March, noticed there's Renovation 2011 on around 4th week of May in Mid Valley.
*
if you are not in a hurry, better wait then biggrin.gif

btw, they normally need 2 months to deliver after certain payment done (quite big portion but don't remember the %)
