QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Mar 7 2010, 09:43 AM) Checking In on a beautiful Sunday morning. Hehe... the world is never fair... Just pray the Sun is as bright on Monday Good luck to all. Added on March 7, 2010, 10:00 am" If u add back the "one time" IPO cost, its profit did not drop much. That is the 'normal' profit it should have made" If you talking about on how to reconcile back the accounts, I would 100% agree with you. For all new IPOs except Maxis ( under Relisting ) :- These IPOs ( companies per se ) would have gained tonne of cashflow ( could in in billions ) through new shares issued and build up their Reserve called Share Premium account by Billions. Whether money used to repay loans borrowed is another story. And this process benefits Big and small fish equally. But in the case of Maxis , the above are totally absent, only " IPO" Costs are well taken care of by Maxis. One very odd accounting treatment is shares issued ( or rather sold by existing big fish /shareholders ) at RM 4.75 to small fish is considered a loss to Maxis ( valued at rm 5 ? ) How can it be since the par value of Maxis is only 10sen per share, and IF NEW share issued at price of rm 4.75 ? Under normal circumstances, Maxis would have built a Share Premium Account by Biillons ( rm 4.65 X numbers of new shares issued ) How can Maxis undertake the "loss" incurred by big fish , Binariang and partners for rm 53m ? First time I know of such accounting practice. Leeway accounting perhaps. Fair or unfair, shareholders to decide. |

QUOTE(simonc @ Mar 11 2010, 05:05 PM) Sifus, Wrong, the price will factor in when rights ex, not when rights list.Is this how to calculate the new price after new share listing. Its for my future reference MAS - 1.90 (3,342,156,240 shares) MAS additional listing - 1.60 (1,671,078,120 shares) 1.90 x 3,342,156,240 = MYR 6,350,096,856 1.60 x 1,671,078,120 = MYR 2,673,724,992 New price = MYR 9,023,821,848 / 5,013,234,360 = 1.80 Correct ah ?? |

QUOTE(chyaw @ Mar 16 2010, 07:47 AM) Everyone buy more Magnum 4D pls. Wah, magnum advertise until here already... RM4mil windfall each for three lucky jackpot punters PETALING JAYA: Three people became instant millionaires when they won the second jackpot in the Magnum 4D Jackpot. The three from Selangor, Penang and Negri Sembilan will share the jackpot prize of almost RM12mil. The seond jackpot rose to RM11,814,719 when the first jackpost exceeded RM31mil jackpot and 11mil was cascaded down into the second jackpot. The first jackpot now stands at RM21mil. The winning combinations for the three winners who will take home RM3.9mil each were 6579 + 7626, 7773 + 6839 and 3914 + 7626. All three said they would use the money to pay off their debts and expand their businesses. One of them said he would keep a portion of his winning prize for his children’s education fund and to bring his family on holiday. The cascading feature is unique to Magnum’s 4D jackpot game and will kick in the moment the jackpot amount exceeds RM30mil and is still not won. The winners said the cascading feature gave punters a better chance. This is second time the cascade feature has help create millionaires. A businessman from Rawang won RM11mil in the second jackpot prize last month. His winning numbers were 9797 and 9567 |

I still like Magnum, too bad last time they take over all my shares... and suspend dividend for almost one year before completed the take-over, another jerk... They tell you to sell B Toto to buy MPHB. I think MPHB going to reward them with double dividends every Q This post has been edited by htt: Mar 16 2010, 08:34 AM |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Mar 16 2010, 11:40 AM) if my memory serves me right, KPJ climbed up 20 sens on the BI ex-date. then slowly coming down, consolidating between 2.20-2.30, before marching to current price. Big supporter of HaiO says that... if Haio is following KPJ post-BI pattern, probably we will see Haio falling back on tomorrow |
