few years ago i was watching my little nephew playing gta san andreas. there he goes.. walking, running, swimming, riding, driving, flying around beating ppl, hi-jacking cars/bikes, committing suicide n every sort of thing he can think of. hes not doing any missions. just playing the game feebly doing nothing.but he was very very happy doing it. he laughs alot. for him its very fun.
now seeing at my self playing videogames, i dont have that kind of feeling, that joy. most of the time im feeling angry, aggravated.. tormented. actually i got a lot but cant really express about what bothers me in videogaming. but nothing really serious about it. only my mind gets tired a little quicker these days. cant play as long as i used to..

Been there, done that..I even felt asleep doing the same thing like your nephew especially during Prototype mission..I even feel like quiting playing games..But instead ends up didn't play my ps3 for 2 months bcoz of my heavy workload.. Normal, when you haven't touch your consoles for months then you will miss it..don't worry to much..

yup. its a phase. Why don't u reflect on asking urself what made u happy playing games in the first place? U cud start by going back to the ones before that you first started playing. That's what I do with King of Fighters 98, and I have never stopped playing until now. How old is that game again?

this is called game fatigue, basically you've played too much in your early days - Overdosed! that's why... do things must do it in moderate way, anything excessing will shorten the lifespan! we must enjoy things we like, like drinking wine, small sip+slow... if we do it like taking shots, sure die very fast!

Maybe that explains why I use the Wii only for Ninty channel and PS3 only for media server extender purposes since last month.
Game fatigue. Can cure if I go out and jalan jalan a bit?

Can cure if I go out and jalan jalan a bit? Play PS1.. that's what I normally do (but other old consoles). Newer games are more on presentation and hypes, get back to pure gameplay greatness once in a while to keep your gaming appetite

Quitting videogames? I've thought about that too. With married life and all, you know, sometimes gaming takes 2nd place. But I'm slowly rediscovering the joy in playing games. Just purchased a Slim PS3 last Dec and I bought a slim PS2 just for re-playing God of War I & 2 What I'm trying to say is, don't rush trying to take down all the games you see in front of you. Pace yourself and take your own sweet time finishing it one by one. That way, you will appreciate your games even more and will definitely keep that momentum going

There are many other things One can do, in order to have fun/entertainment, other than gaming.
Movies, Music, Books (magazines, manga, novels, biography, instructions, manual, majalah main budak), Models, outdoor activities, sports, etc...
why not considering some of these, rather than always stuck in the virtual world?
social with real ppl, rather than just online society.
