QUOTE(nazeeman @ Apr 7 2010, 05:50 PM) From Star Online Conclusion» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « If you’ve ever wanted surround sound directly on your ears as you play games, we’d heartily recommend giving the Roccat Kave a go.
Heck, even if you’re not in it for the gaming, we’d still recommend checking out the Kave.
The crystal clear sounds that come from these headphones are a joy for anyone’s ears, provided, of course, that you aren’t some pencil-necked reviewer who can’t take the weight on his head.
Now can someone please suggest some neck-cercises for me?
Pros: Excellent sound clarity; 5.1-channel surround sound. Cons: Headset too heavy for extended use. LOL! Yeah, the weight's too heavy for me as well. Most probably the only downside for gamers.

"Imagine a headphone, not with simulated, but with three very real 40mm speakers arranged at a 12° angle embedded into the earcups" this is quoted from roccat site.

from what i observed from my kave. i only saw 2x 40mm driver on each side. the total is 4x speakers only. but i am not sure why the roccat site mentioned it was 3x speaker on each side.

I can't see the third speaker ( left right behind ) too, it's covered. But press it and you will see it there. For god sake, why do you keep questioning Roccat's product?

As for the earcup padding, they wouldn't cause pain, just the weight will cause slight pain after long duration of usage.

AD is for people like me, which prefers it over some gaming headset.. Well, i dun recommend you gt AD because the low ends one, wont be that good lol.. At least AD 500 above would be nice and sufficient for your gaming needs..

Kave user reporting,e verything is perfect except for its weight, i think the cushion is a little bit too thin and small, that the weight it puts on the head is localized and causing headache, at least for me. Eh how do u tweak to get a better bass? I'm setting the base equalizer to max, rest on low and crack the master volume to max. Apart from that, it's a fantastic headset! Tested on BC2, vibration doesnt kicks in during mortar strike or tank blast beside you. However, it does kicks in lightly when a chopper hovers near you , sometimes i hope it'll hover longer coz it feels like massaging your head ah, using X-fi XtremeGamer btw!
