For gaming, can Roccat Kave pinpoint enemy location in CS accurately like audio technica ad700, roccat kave price are similar to audio technica ad700 in US
*
What kind of post is this? blink.gif

AD700 are mid range Audiophiles cans which isn't the same league as the headphones from Roccat.

Pinpointing a location inside the game is really determined by:
-How good your sound card is in terms of reproduction sound not noise
-The realism in sound programming or digital enhancer such as those EAX and CMSSs'

Similar price doesn't always mean similar functionality or performance. Like F430 and Brabus CLS, cost roughly the same, but have different functions.

Yeah, thanks for your answer. That's what confusing out there.Anyway,is there any real 7.1 headphone in the market? The Kave,is wear long time in a room without air-con,will it be heat up easily?
*
None of I can think of right now. But previously there were various companies who produce dual or tri speakers in a headphone to allow true audio channeling to be achieved...

QUOTE(studwo @ Mar 9 2010, 02:17 PM)
Sorry i think i made a silly mistake over here ..  but i am still curious hows the soundstage of roccat kave . The audiophiles guys are having a headphone gathering at berjaya times square ,  at 1 pm coming saturday . any roccat kave users want to come ? pm me pls .

how much does this roccat kave cost wondering .
*
If you want to talk about sound staging in music terms, then the Kave isn't suited for you. The Kave is more or less a 5.1 speaker system build in a headphone form factor. Audiophiles guys usually are 2.0 type of guys and they are not interested in how much 'surround' sound a headphone can produce. They talk clarity vs muddy, narrow vs wide, bassy vs trebly, response vs lag and much more, which basically you need to spend years of listening to various types of heaphones...

Roccat cost RM339 at stores nationwide, price killer dealers excluded...maybe you can get it for RM281 from them if they are stupid enough to run business...

QUOTE(OlgaC4 @ Mar 9 2010, 05:27 PM)
This is bad or good? i am noob in headphone.
*
Its good in the sense that you are hearing TRUE 5.1 sound rather than emulated, simulated and so on...today, basically a 5.1 channel audio isn't so much to ask and mid range priced motherboards usually has audiochips that supports 5.1 channel audio...

Previously if you have such built-in 5.1 audio capabilities, you will need to get a 5.1 speaker in order to enjoy 5.1 channel audio, but now since Kave has arrived, the audio ports at the back panel can now be utilized without the need of having a 5.1 speaker system...

QUOTE(XiuKeong @ Mar 9 2010, 08:07 PM)
If compared with 5Hv2? hmm.gif
*
Nothing beats Kave basically when it comes to TRUE 5.1 audio heaphones...simulated ones such as from SS, Razer or even Logitech are nice, but to be exceptional, true 5.1 is the way to go...So if you want to feel the difference, get a Kave....

Before this we haven't much choice, even for my gaming, I still use my Technics RP-F880, but now, I probably will retire my heaphone (for gaming n movies, but music still it will be use) and get me self a Kave... thumbup.gif

QUOTE(StereophileDream @ Mar 9 2010, 11:10 PM)
Hihi, did you know where can I buy audiophiles headphone with more reasonable price here?

Hehe, got 1 SS headphone (forget what model already).Unfortunately, gave it to my sister.
*
Audiophiles grade stuff and the verb reasonable seldom goes hand in hand....But if you talking about where to get 'a not so potong kepala prices' you can check out at GS in the music section where there are a couple of high quality headphones threads that is active...Usually Audiophiles shop will cut your head and tear up you wallet, because audiophile, like photography is an expensive hobby...yeah yeah, you can argue that 1000D or D5000 is cheap, but always remember that when it comes to quality, those cams worth nothing compared to their 1D or D3 brothers...

Audiophiles = 1D cool.gif
Average heaphones or earbuds that just produce soundnoise = 1000D

QUOTE(StereophileDream @ Mar 12 2010, 12:59 AM)
AI,but from what I know, the price here rarely cheap even from the distributor. hmm.gif
*
If distro sell you cheap, the how would a dealer feel? or if distro sell you cheap, how cheap is it for the dealers then? whistling.gif

Kave owners, try to boost your soundcard/good onboard soundcard's bass, 6dB or 9dB.

Then try this :

Now, tell me if you have doubt on Kave bass performance.

I tried it on 75% volume and can't stand it anymore. The vibration really really helps.

i now considering between to own Logitech G35 or Roccat Rave.

the price is different just around RM 50 and its not a problem with me, but i wondering which one provide more realism when come in term of gaming?

as we know G35 is simulated 7.1 and Rave is real 5.1.

the reason why i am asking is because most of G35 review said its a best headphone for gaming.

Try and read reviews for both products...observe the pros and cons of each and make sure to write it down...

Analyze both in terms of performance from a media viewpoint and real owner of the gears...

From there you I hope that it will help you to choose which is suited for your...

P/s: Kave is burning for the past 12 hours sweat.gif ...another 188 to go laugh.gif

Songs varies from hip hop to jazz to strings and harmonics to rock and techno....volume at 85%....I can hear the song even without wearing the heaphone... doh.gif

cry.gif My Kave's Volume Control Unit seems to be functioning strangely... The LED on the Volume Control Unit sometimes doesn't come on, sometimes goes on, and sometimes it blings. Could it be a faulty Volume Control Unit? hmm.gif.

Light on = functional
Light Blink = mute
No light = No USB connection or USB power is unstable/ having problems....
